Real nice!

But I have to admit that for being 6 years old, the original texturing on the CG Sov still looks pretty good.

Indeed like i said, they're not bad at all & could probably still pass as new textures ;)

Right here's the update i promised. Hadn't had much time on it, but the back end & the bridge is done. Secondary hull & nacelles left to do, then its just all the bloody windows on her :P

Enjoy

The NCC-1701-E registry doesn't look right. All else looks awesome.

for some reason... the hull and the saucer dont seem to blend right... too much contrast between the two... my only nitpick.... looks GREAT!!!

That's because it's supposed to be like that if you explain the ref pics. ;) See below

Nice retexture. Never liked that particular colour scheme though.

The rim on the top of your saucer seems to be too light. All else seems good.

Yeah there is a little difference but its without specs & i hope when it's got them, i intend to get an overall balance to her.

very nice... though the engineering section behind the shuttle bay is just a shade or 2 too dark...
even with specs it will still look odd.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Not doing as the constrast is already canon, + specs will do that.

Right a little update again, this time the nacelles & pylons.

Ive started on the bottom section of the engineering hull, the captains yacht and a new deflector, it's just taking a bit of time to do.

Enjoy

Looking really nice, Jb06.  As I said in the Trek discussion thread, just be careful with the hues and colors, as those renders you're basing this off of don't use the same lighting scheme as used in the movie.
