This looks really good, but why is the secondary hull darker than the primary hull?  It looks strange...

That's because that's how it's supposed to look like :P

Looking really nice, Jb06.  As I said in the Trek discussion thread, just be careful with the hues and colors, as those renders you're basing this off of don't use the same lighting scheme as used in the movie.

Yeah i've got a few hundred screencaps of Nemesis, so these are not just based on them ref pics Erk posted.

@Everyone else: Thanks for the really great comments, glad everyone is liking it so far.

Right haven't been to work on this the past few days, but ive got a couple of hours work in today. so here's some progress. The saucer is just taking abit of time, especially the canon azteching :) Note the new deflector ;)

I am loving this design, I do hope you include a blank registry map too because I would so love to use this as the texture for the sovereign I use in game (custom ship that I never did release anywhere)
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

Ehhh...sorry, the coloration difference in the hulls just throws off the whole look.  I like what you've got going, but in all honesty, I'd either lighten the secondary hull or darken the saucer to get it to look a bit more uniform...it just looks odd the way it is now.  Maybe it'll look better ingame. *shrugs*

Im not going to change it to your liking when it is already canon, everyone else is pretty damn happy with it. I know it looks abit strange but thats how it's supposed to be. Remember this is a Nemesis retexture, the Sovereign was totally different looking to the previous 2 movies.

I know nothing about Retextures (and textures in general) but cant you just take the textures directly from that CGI picture of the Enterprise?

I really dont know what im talking about but can someone tell me why thats not possible  :)

well its not that simple. the model is a little different from the cg images. windows and textures wouldnt make up properly. it would probably be more difficult to copy, paste and modify to fit onto the ship.

i know this because.... well i tried it... and failed  :(

JB is right as on CGI shots there are also has few differences in colors, they look strange now as there is no spec-panneling yet (on CGI shots Sov has some additional specular-pannels thus it looks less different)

And what would be the fun in that? :P You don't learn anything by simply copying and pasting. Creating it yourself makes it more worth while knowing you can do it.

Which is why I'm doing this for the FC version LOL :D.  And it's a pain in the butt to get it to contour properly onto the ship :eek

Damn good stuff JB. :D

Sorry man, I wasn't trying to insult your talents or anything.  It is a fantastically well done retexture, and I know it'll probably look better with specs applied.  No degradation intended.  I still plan on downloading this sucker. :D

That second shot is a perfect example of the color difference!  Nice find.

Ok I've been busy the past week so ive been unable to work on this, but ive able to get a few hours on her today. The azteching is now 100% complete, all there is to do now is add the regs, windows, glows and speculars then the Nemesis Sovereign is complete texture wise :P I plan to hp it also which shouldn't take that long to do ;)

Anyways, here's the bottom saucer section. I've redone parts of the bottom saucer since I last updated here.

Enjoy
