There have been quite a few TOS Defiant models made in the past, but I don't know where they are anymore.  Glad to see a new one being built.  Very clean mesh.  Can't wait for the final product.

It's looking good so far Gmunoz, great start(accurate to the sketch)however I do have a hard time swallowing the antenna's on the bussaric collectors though I think it makes the ship look like a toy model..but then again that's just me.   :P

o.O

*braces for the resounding echoes and pressure wave of purists to scream "how could you?!"

i know some fanboys are gonna try and hang you for this one, but it had to happen, eventually.  besides, I think your the ONLY person working on TOS style ships at all. (and they kick ass :P)

f9th:  the closest I've seen to a TOS defiant before this is the "CL Kestrel"

i made my copy a set of TOS style Bussards, the ones on it don't work right.

...hmm, with Connie - style Naceles and Pylons instead of the Defiant like Nacelles it would look like a Federation Bird of Prey...

There were at least 2 or 3 for SFC, and in 2008 someone over at Scifi Meshes.com was making one, but he's removed all images from his thread and the thread's been dead for a while.  I'm not surprised you're not aware of the other models.

I think there could be some red stripes on the main hull, it looks kinda blank like that.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

I hope it will have just as badass alpha strike as the TOS Constellation you made..

I originally used my standard TOS texture for this model but it did not look right.  I gave those same textures a slightly darker tint wich made the paneling stand out more.  I'll retexture with the lighter hull and post an update to see what the consensus is.

Here is an update, gave her some teeth.
