FoaS Thread v2
« on: April 30, 2010, 09:33:02 PM »
Yup. It is me, again.

I decided to make a new thread, instead of resurrecting my old one. Just wanted to share a few of my latest endeavors.

USS Longbow of the Longbow class (NCC-1775) she serves as a heavy cruiser (to be more specific a strike cruiser).
It's based off of an ADB design from Starfleet Battles. I've taken it up into my own look which all my TOS ships adhere to.

Here's the other TOS ships I've been working on.

Parts come from an NX that has been floating around and Lord Schtupps fleet

lol, thanks? (I think) ;)

They are just TOS ships with NX nacelles with a FoaS texture scheme. They aren't that special.

EDIT: another ship coming soon a Remake of Lord Schtupp's Pegasus scout

Lol
I know that people don't really care for the style, but I just got so tired of the typical fed look.

Too much work >.<

I'm only half joking. It takes me several hours to texture a ship, by the time I'm done I'm ready to move on to the next one in my queue. Suffering through each ship again?

I don't mind, but you need to also ask other people involved. Lord Schtupp has a "Credit's Only" policy since his retirement, but anything that has Wicked Zombie in the credits means you need to ask him, too. (I don't think any of the TOS ships use his parts, though).
Major Racal has a "Just let me know" policy (poke your head in over at dyna and post a thread there with your intentions) That only applies to the Chandley. And Desty Nova, too, has retired. Credit only, needed.

My personal policy - assuming everyone else involved is happy - is that you send me a copy of the completed conversion, so that I can post them up on my site, too.

People are always welcome to not download my stuff ;)

Here you go, guys.

I know many of you won't really enjoy the concept, but too bad ;).
Basically, this is the Refit of the Enterprise that was done just before the V'Ger incident. the 1701-A is the "normal" constitution-refit configuration, but the 1701-refit is this.

I wanted to show a difference between the too - really sells the idea that the enterprise is old by the time that TWoK and SFS comes about.

It looks almost JJ except on fire. Would a front view be possible?
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."
