Edit() Mode

Hi i recently discoverd Edit mode as im learning to create missions, but uhm...why..does it always crash when u try do something to the backgrounds?
Is there a fix or a workaround?

or even better...an extensive guide ou there somewhere?

well yeah it has SOME info but not allot like...why it crashes and such...

thats like a no crash for me, but for some reason when i try to use the background editor it crashes ><
