heres my take on the proxima class, I know its nothing like the original ship but the best i could do  :idk:
its still missing a few minor details here and there, is it worth finishing?

any chance of getting that with a bite out of the saucer and more torpedo tubes? Otherwise I think it looks good but make sure it has some stern weapons. I'd like to see it finished.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

That class is either something you like, or you don't.  Me, I personally don't like the idea of two secondary sections like that. Makes it look design wise impractical. I think you did a nice job with it.

The way you did your version, I would like to see variants of it with a single secondary hull and one without secondary hulls all together. Those would look great. :)

No secondary hulls would look neat with this design.  It would be like a cross between the NX-01 (basic setup) and Prometheus (Split the four nacelles apart).  That would look really neat as a TMP design.

No but they can be converted :)

Havent got a clue as of how to do that; if some feature like "the bite out of the saucer" isnt there already, I cant do it.
More than often, I can add to a saucer or any other given object on a model but rarely if ever can I take something from it.
But torp tubes and so on, yeah I can add a few and maybe some other features.

I was actually thinking of abandoning 2 extra nacellas and the extra engineering section too, to make this look a little less horrible :D
-And I already have a version of it without the engineering sections whatsoever, just not quite done with it yet :)

wouldn't really be the proxima without 4 engines and 2 hulls though.

It isnt quite what proximas supposed to be even with the engines :P
But yeah, might as well make several different variants again :)

I have to say, I'm not a fan of FoaS fractal flame textures, but the model looks neat.  Kinda like an update of the "warp delta" type ships from ent.

If i knew a little more (=knew how to) about texturing i'd propably use something else  :D
I guess i could could go through some of the other models i got laying around my hd and see if theyd have a better alternative for those... especially when it comes to nacellas.

for the sake of scaling the Karu...do I assume the Abbe torpedo pod is the standard or the oberth nacelles? (thats assuming I can find the proper length for an abbe and mesure the pod)

And for the twiser, I have no idea there.

The akayazi variant I assume I use the saucer as the standard (what are the specs on the akayzi?)

I am going to start porting these as soon as I can motivate myself. we're about to get a heatwave here (temps above freezing anyway) and might get busy with other things that need to get done but hopfully I can get some serious modding done this weekend.

edit:
Well the 2 einherjers have been ported. It's taking some time due to the number of textures on each but I got textures covnerted to tga on 5 more so it's moving along.

lol..doesn't bother me. You'd be surprised how fast I can go if I feel like it.

As for that charger or whatever..you got a pic or something that gives me something to compare it to? Something canon/known size?
