Just a question, but are you going to make a USS Enterprise and a USS Sovereign, a pack of them, or just the Enterprise?

Moed--> No probs man!
Deadthunder2_0--> Just the Enterprise for the moment.  But making additional registries is pretty easy.

Working on the nacelles, which are surprisingly difficult.

My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,

I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

You know, as much as I love the curvy sleek look of the Ent-E's nacelles and the JJ-1701, I don't think the designers realized how big of a pain those nacelles have to be for people to replicate. lol

Looking great DJ.

It's looking amazing so far!   Is it all created with just spline caging so far, or have you use a few modifiers for elements like the ribs and the shuttle control area?

That has been happening a lot lately, not just JTK, but for other people as well. If you ever wanted to announce it to the world, please for everyone's sake, keep it to yourself.

I've been trying to replicate the Sovereign nacelles myself.  Came close a couple times, but haven't tried recently, so I know personally how awful those things are to make.

P.S.

No such thing as TMI.  MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

:funny  okay I know this thing looks good...but really?

Great work so far DJ.  I have a question though, I know I'm probably thinking a bit ahead here but this has been kinda lingering in the back of my head for the past day or so.  I understand you're not implementing MVAM regarding saucer separation, but have you considered doing so with the captain yacht?  I remember reading several years back in one of CG's old 2.0 Sov threads at BCU that he was planning on doing that and I was wondering if that idea crossed your mind as well.  I'm not trying to bring up the MVAM discussion again, I'm just curious.  None the less if my question is judged inappropriate a moderator may they feel free to kick me in the ass as often as they feel necessary.  :hide

Sounds like a cool idea but he's already modeled in the Captain's Yacht as part of the full model.

I think the yacht is worth considering.  To be honest, it's a fair bit of work for something that's pretty minor.  It's not as though anyone will really use it all that much, at least not for anything useful.  But I'll give it some thought.

The only usefulness it will have is for POTD screen shots.  There's no game play achievement from it accept for the fact that it could be used to abandon ship in conjunction with other shuttle and auxillary support craft.

Yeah, I'll think about the yacht.

I've stayed up way too late working on these nacelles, but other than the connections to the pylons, they're pretty well done.  Totally spline caged.

Most Excellent!  I take it you'll add Phasers and Photons after the the ship is complete?
