Romulans!
« on: February 11, 2011, 03:12:27 PM »
So after a few failed attemps to really start modding, several distrations with work, moving house and many other excuses I am now here to stay!

Lets start off with a simple TOS scout to get my eye in. In the process of mapping, god its tedious. If anyone has any tips on how to speed it up I am all ears - I am a beginer when it comes to mapping and texturing.

Feedback is more than welcome.

Very Nice Start, I'm sure some of the 3D Vets on here will give you some tips.

the center fin isn't like that, but I like the way that's going.  there are plenty of "UV"ists around here, and they can also point you to the tutorials.  but sometimes, it's better to have someone explain it "live".

I think it's supposed to be an original Romulan design inspired by the BOP. ;)

it looks old. You could run the impulse verticly up the fin. Also, I've got a ring driven design needing to be remade if you want to keep making more of these.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Yeah should've mentioned this is a new TOS design.

Plan to do four or five from TOS, including a Romulan/Klingon hybrid.

Starforce the ring design sounds interesting. Can you post pics please?
