STO is low quality, no where over BC's poly limit

STO isn't low quality, maybe your graphics card can't support higher quality. I've played in on 2 screens (2560x1024) with 4xAA, 16xAF and max graphics and it was awesome. And yes, some of the models are a bit low poly and some of the textures are with low resolution, but if you have good gpu for very good processing of the game, i can asure you it's very good!

btw, DT, if you believe that you know a game with better quality, make some in-game screens to show us :)

Yikes...he was making a point that the models aren't beyond BC's engine...he wasn't trying to put it down!

here is what you do-
take the parts you ripped from the game and rebuild them yourself, much like you repaired this model.
Then you won't have any of the parts of the original and a top notch yacht!
ok due to me having to re format my pc i have gone through and done this its looks the same mesh wise, but the uv data is now GONE
and now that it is no longer a breach of the STO EULA so i done see why this cant be worked on again, also the 3ds file i uploaded is now updated to my own recreation, i hope this project can successfully get started.

This. You've shown you can do some neat touch-ups, I'm not really familiar with any of your other work though, unfortunately. The guys are right, as by comparison STO's models are much more poly savvy, despite the LOD's (And from what I have seen the "modular" -- I guess you'd call 'em -- sections aren't unified even to themselves) but they're for the most part still pretty. Using the Yacht from the game as a reference point ought to make for a beautiful mesh with a slightly more... What's the word I'm looking for...? Distinct look. It's true, though, a flashy yacht for screenshots and such would be very cool.

Best of luck to you in your efforts.
