Thanks for the PM.  Yeah, I had Bones look into Cord's tutorial, and he said that for some reason it didn't work.  For the concept I have in mind for the Inferno, it would use both transparency and animation, so if anyone has had success with both of those, it'd be much appreciated.

I don't do my own scripting and such, but maybe I should learn.

well you can break the mesh off where the textures need to be animated/transparent so that they have their own individual texture map.

idk why i didnt work for yall, it did for me?

when it gets to that point give me a yell.

just remember BEFORE YOU start the textures to SEPERATE the parts of the model you want to be transparent. anything that shares the map/alpha channel will be transparent as well. so the parts need to be on their own separate channel.

it can be the last thing that gets done on this, as ill need the ship to be ingame to test if its working proper

as for the animating textures, i have no clue how to do that. just the transparency ;)

It looks like a cross between STO's kitty carrier and a romulan warbird, all given a proper federation paint job.

Stop laying it around then. :P  In all seriousness, I believe I proposed this concept back when you were originally working on the Argonaut.  The idea recently crept up after talking to Angel and Toa about an idea I had.  If you get on Skype sometime, I can give you a quick summary.

As for your issue with animated textures i think there was a tutorial on here on how to set that up, but i cant remember where, ill do some digging and see what i can find for you.

I think the term "kitty carrier" refers to the Caitian Atrox class Carrier.  Nothing to do with actual cats or Kittyhawks.
