also just for the EASE of NOT having to set up another forum can we just have an admin area here pls jimmy, believe it or not it will save ALOT of time
- Ether that or we remake BC-C believe it or not, doing a new forum for 1 thing is just as easy as rebuilding this one
dont jump re-read if u have too
u see what i mean
when the time comes, a forum here could be set up for the new BCFiles site... one for public posting, and one private hidden for that staff only... i just figured it would be easiest to have such a thing directly on the new BCFiles site itself...
if a public and hidden private forum were to be set up here, anyone could be given moderator functions and privileges and be in charge for those two forums specifically and only...
I think someone should put this topic into a new forum just for the new Bcfiles, oh, and sticky it.
This way, if anyone has any questions, they don't fill up the BC General area.
when the time comes, that could be done... for now, this thread is ok for people to toss around ideas and have basic general conversation of the whole concept... might be best to get an actual working (even if bare basic) site first before proceeding with setting up new forums here for it...
I vote for calling the forum: BCFiles 2.0
thought just occurred to me - im wondering if Gamefront would have a problem with a site being called "BCFiles" since the " ...Files" name is what they use for all their game download sites... that may cause an issue... they may not be happy with that name being used, and they may have rights to that name specifically (i personally have no idea though)...
if someone created another BC forum and called it "BC-Central 2.0" we (staff and admins) would most surely have an issue with that here...
although "BCFiles.net" has already been chosen, i am wondering if the site should bear the same name as Gamefront's...
perhaps if it was something like "BCMods.net" or "BCDownloads.com" (both are available) or whatever, that would clear any potential issue with Gamefront that may or may not occur?
this is something to really seriously consider before anything else and perhaps a message sent to Gamefront's admins might be in order to be sure there would be no issue from them with a site bearing the same name as theirs...
