NCC-71099
After watching people comment on POTD's at BCFiles about how the Enterprise-D was not around during the war, etc., I decided to do up another standard Galaxy Class, the Challenger. I might do some more too, don't know yet.
Also, I was wondering, does anyone know if the USS Magellan is also a Galaxy Class starship? I remember in Way of the Warrior Dax tells Sisko that a task force is on its way led by the Magellan, and then when it does, a Galaxy Class ship is docked at DS9. What do you guys think?
-
from what i remember DJ, it was the Venture that was mentioned in Way of the Warrior,
The Magellan was mentioned in Sacrifice of Angels, when sisko says "The Magellan and Venture are meant to be protecting our starboard flanks",
And i am almost 100% sure the Magellan is a galaxy class
-
Memory Alpha says:
Star Trek Encyclopedia states that this vessel was a Constellation-class starship, with a registry of NCC-3069.
There are some who believe that the Magellan mentioned in "Sacrifice of Angels" was a Galaxy-class starship launched in the early 2370s because of the following dialog from the episode:
Sisko: "Ensign, have Galaxy Wings 91 and 93 engage those destroyers. All other ships, go for that opening. Whoever gets through doesn't stop 'til they reach Deep Space 9."
Elim Garak: "Congratulations, Captain. You wanted them angry. They're angry."
Sisko: "The Magellan and the Venture are supposed to be protecting our starboard flank. They're in too tight... tell fighter squadrons 6, 7 and 8 to..."
The subsequent shot of two Galaxy-class ships attacking has been taken by some to prove the Magellan was a Galaxy-class as the Venture was previously established as one. That conclusion would have to require, though, that no other Galaxy ships except the Venture and Magellan could possibly be in that shot. As at least six other Galaxy vessels were around at the time, the presumption has to remain speculation only. Also, there is no evidence from any production staff person or publication of anything other than the Magellan being a Constellation-class. It should be noted, though, that is somewhat unlikely that an eighty-year-old Constellation-class cruiser would lead a major assault on enemy warships in that massive battle, which is probably why it was noted in dialog as protecting the Defiant's flank instead.
It is also possible that the Magellan was either an Excelsior- or Miranda-class starship as frames from "Sacrifice of Angels" prior to Garak's statement above show ships from these two classes to the starboard side of the Defiant, including a Miranda-class ship holding close off the Defiant's starboard aft quarter.
Don't think this really helps, but... meh ^^
Other Galaxy ships?
Look:
USS Allegheny
USS Asgard
USS Bolivar
USS Breedlove
USS Challenger II
USS Cheyenne (NCC-75435)
USS Constitution
USS Dauntless (NCC-71879) (destroyed in battle)
USS Excalibur-A
USS Hood
USS Idaho
USS Madison
USS Monitor (assimilated)
USS Muakaikubo (destroyed in battle)
USS Oraidhe
USS Oregon (NCC-75698)
USS Potemkin
USS San Francisco (NCC-74780)
USS Trident

-
Wow. 'Tis all I can say, in all honesty... amazing. Captain LaForge would be proud.
-
thanks for that stuff guys. i'd say it's very likely that the Magellan is a Galaxy Class.
-
These ARE definite galaxy class vessels either mentioned on screen or the Encyclopedia,
Taken from DITL.org

Interesting concept any other changes other than registry?
-
Great work, great normalmapping :)
-
Gene always said during the first few seasons of TNg that there should of only been 7 or 8 galaxy class ships. Now we know 3 of them from TNG galaxy, Enterprise and Yamato. So the Venture would be logical choice as would the Challenger. I am not too keen on the Excalibur beeing a name as we all ready have the Excalibur class, but i know that ship was mentioned in a book my peter David, but as there is going to be a Star Trek Excalibur it would be a bit confusing if there were 2 ships with the same name.
Still would'nt mind seeing the 2390 version of the ship with the enhanced deflector as part of the pack.
-
most treks see the magellan as a galaxy.
but strictly seen its not canon.
-
DJ, why did you refuse that job at Paramount LOL :P Oh wait...dumb question, but beautiful ship nontheless :) Erm...Broccoli and veggies instead of cookies today :P. Too many of those have been given lol ;)
-
More greatness from DJ! :D

...i cannot resist:

If I could make one minor suggestion, it would be to brighten up the escape pods a little bit. The greyish color you have on the Ent-D/Venture Galaxies, looks a little too grey and blends with the hull, making them look nearly invisible in certain angles.
-
Great work DJ, I'm really diggin the Challenger's regs!! 8)
-
Hey DJ, are you going to include blank registries along with your own? :P
-
Hey DJ, are you going to include blank registries along with your own? :P
I hope so as well, but other than that I'm really loving the Challenger registy. After all they say variety is the spice of life.
-
variety is the spice of life.
QFT!!!
:D Oh yeah, DJ, those pics taken with NanoFX GE? I LOVES the second pic!
-
wow DJ a amazing ship...first class pics...! but DJ Curtis I thought your next project is the Galaxy Refit...? or i have confused..?!
-
adama2--> it's coming.
Aeries--> Nope, just a max render.
kirk2164--> not right away.
dt--> it's more canon this way. I've studied screenshots of the 4ft model until i nearly pulled my hair out. they're the right color, i'm sure of it.
admiral homer--> it will be.
andrewJ--> maybe a tweak here or there, but nothing major.
-
I think a San Francisco registry should be done to fit into SP.
-
I still think you need to add all the missing nav lights... they are on the 4 foot model blueprints I have...
-
I wanted to post this picture. It's well lit and really shows that the escape pods are not that different of a colour from the hull. In fact they're kind of camouflaged and hard to spot. Actually, upon staring at this picture, I think my shuttle bay doors are too dark.
-
You have a point there DJ ^^
-
I've been working on this all morning. It had kind of fallen by the wayside, but I really wanted to bring it back, and also some people have expressed interest in seeing it released. Therefor, I give you the USS Pegasus (commissioned 2368, refit 2397, re-commisioned 2399. I decided to name it in tribute to the Pegasus from Battlestar Galactica. That ship's registry was BS 62, hence this ship's registry is NCC-78562. Actually, hidden on this ship is a Battlestar Pegasus emblem. :D
Anyway, major changes include...
-lengthened nacelles with sleeker bussard collectors and new warp field emitters.
-Century style deflector
-Century style escape pods
-altered main impulse engine with full time saucer impulse.
-enlarged shuttlebay 2.
-deeper main shuttlebay.
-installed Century style phaser arrays (color change)
-registry changes with lights added to main regs and pylon regs
-overall hull color change to reflect improved construction materials and armor
-
few more
-
WOW, that is simply GORGEOUS!
-
aaah that registry light...
finally :)^^
ver<y nice work!
-
Simply amazing !
What about some new speculars or altered azteching on the hull like in Century class ? would look even better :D
-
What do you guys think?
Do you even have to ask that? Your ships are *ALWAYS* awesome.
Anyways, yeah, that's an awesome ship there.
-
Your ships are *ALWAYS* awesome.
Qft
-
I hope you are using SDT where possible?
Though I suppose it are the textures that take the most space. :(
-
it's a totally different texture set, so no SDT. As far as changing the aztec goes, not gonna do it, that's the biggest part of the textures and it takes a long time. May as well redo the textures from scratch. lol
-
I think he means with all of the standard galaxy regs. I hope you'll be using SDT for those. My PC already starts to cry with just one DJ Galaxy.
-
ah. actually, the mod isn't cut up properly to use SDT because I only decided to release two ships in the mod. That and I didn't want to have everything on 5 textures instead of 4 for when it came time to get the ship rolling for Excalibur.
Ultimately, people can decide if they want to download it, despite the extra size.
kirk2164--> put the textures from the 'medium' texture folder into the 'high' folder. The visual quality will still be good but your performance will go way up.
-
I think he means with all of the standard galaxy regs. I hope you'll be using SDT for those. My PC already starts to cry with just one DJ Galaxy.
I actually meant either case. :P
-
Oh, I'm very pleased to see you've come back to this project; I was always interested to see her develop a bit more. She's a real beauty, DJ... a certain compliment to the Galaxy's 'royal' lineage. I'm also very pleased to see that you're paying tribute to one of my favorite ships, the Pegasus. Awesome that you've placed her emblem in there, too.
I only have one note on this ship... do you think the registry should include an "A" suffix? Since there was the oberth-class USS Pegasus... not sure it matters, though, since the registry number is different, isn't it? eh, up to you... not sure it would matter THAT much in the end. :) Just a thought.
She's gorgeous, DJ. Excellent work.
-
to be honest, I doubt that the Pegasus was a ship of sufficient consequence to warrant an 'A' designation.
-
WOWWW DJ C. she is so beautifull and looks dangerous ...i can t expact to play this ship...
and thank you for the name PEGASUS. the new generation of galaxy class :hurr
-
to be honest, I doubt that the Pegasus was a ship of sufficient consequence to warrant an 'A' designation.
Exactly, really very few ships get an 'A' designation. In fact, despite the various mods out there, the Enterprise is currently the only canon one. :P
Looks gorgeous DJ, can't wait!

Oh, okay. I'll remember all this for future reference. :) Makes sense!
-
Hooo hooo yes now that is what i call a futuristic galaxy. loving the deflector and new warp nacells. cant wait to try her out in game. Cookie on its way
-
Good work as always DJ. Keep it up :)
-
Forgive me for being blunt, but that deflector dish has to go. It doesn't do the Galaxy any justice and we didn't see any big changes on
Captain LaForge's USS Challenger.
-

I like it. This version of the Galaxy is already uncannon and I love that deflector.
-
kirk2164 has absolutely right... This is 100% too my opinion..!
-

Ultimately, it's DJ Curtis's project and he's allowed to do with it any way he sees fit. Thou I agree with his decision using the Century-style deflector dish, looks really ace.
-

Actually, I appreciate the candid opinion.
Luckily you get a Challenger too! :D
-
this deflector dish is one of the most discussed...
I really like DJs deflector, on all ships he has done so far.
maybe the deflector seems a bit overused, but it looks great though.
maybe you could do little changes to it ;)
-
I agree with Neb that it looks cool as it is, though I do have a couple ideas if you want them. Let me know and I'll post them... they're quite simple, really.
-
post away aeries
-
Well, what I was thinking... it might just look off because the dish is "emptier" than that of the original galaxy. The original has a "plate" covering an oval 'hole' in it's center, though you can still see the glowing outline. What I was thinking... maybe just put plates over top of the pair of 'holes' there, in a similar fashion?
-
Ooh, maybe make the blue sections of the dish look more "active." Dirty it up a bit. This dish could be a prototype of the newer century-class dish and thus will not be as perfected as her counterparts.
-
:P loving it. seeing that all ur galaxy class look so good why not make a new galaxy class refit bridge not a suggestion but something to keep in mind to top it all off.
-

Seconded.
-
A little bit insane to suggest a bridge, don't you think?
-
bridge isn't gonna happen. lol
-
A little bit insane to suggest a bridge, don't you think?
not at all considering that his work is amazing :D seeing that the current gen bridge looks great but needs more work to be done sorry if this is a bit off topic. But looking forward to the expansion pack. :D
-
I agree with Neb that it looks cool as it is, though I do have a couple ideas if you want them. Let me know and I'll post them... they're quite simple, really.
My thought was very simply to remove the top to bottom split and make it from left to right instead. Turn it 90degrees but maintain the same aspect.
-

Hmm... I hadn't even thought of that... that's a really dope idea, Elminster, I think that would work even better! :D
-
I LOVE how crisp and clean this Galaxy looks. I don't often download other ships that have been done, but when this thing comes out...I'm more than likely gonna get her. :D

Fantastic work as always!
-
DJ C. i have some ideas for the PEGASUS...
1. the head-phaser areas ( top and under) from the saucer-section, but could be separated in the middle, as the USS Voyager.
2. also could be more windows on the saucer-section(to the bridge around) ... and the saucer-section few to stretch forward, as the century class.
3. and my best association is, that the middle piece( between battle and saucer section) abridged gets...
ok sorry for my english, have given my best...
I would be very happy if you tell me DJ Curtis, what you think of my suggestions....
-
1. the head-phaser areas ( top and under) from the saucer-section, but could be separated in the middle, as the USS Voyager.
Actually, I particularly agree with this one. :) I think that would be kind of interesting to see.
-
I 2nd'ed the idea. 8)
-
won't happen. on that ship, you'll lose all kinds of essential forward phaser coverage, not to mention that those kinds of phasers are a pain to hp.
-
Ah, good point...
-
I must post again.
After looking at those pics again... TIS TEH AWESOMEH.
-
USS Odyssey now included. Thanks to Adonis for teaching me LC's lighting rig.
-
horray for resurrection! a cookie for the update. does the odyssey have any differences in hardpointing compared to the original galaxy release? or is it just different textures
-
not atm. do you guys think it should have a slightly different HP?
-
I honestly cant think of any differences you could make to the HP.
I think it would be the same as the Enterprise?
-
I'm with Lint on this one... I think it would generally be the same... don't see why it would be any different.
-
Yeah, the only thing different about the Odyssey was its bridge.
-
I totally agree why would this Galaxy be any different than the other older Galaxys?
EDIT: The bridge...thats odd? meh never saw that part...hell I didn't know that Chekov was the captain till I joined here lol For some odd reason I have yet to see this episode...other than youtube.
-
well, one ship to another will be slightly different due to changes and tweaks by the crews that man the ships, so I figured if anyone has any ideas, let fly. :)
-
Maybe... slightly stronger phaser banks, increase torpedo yield by 1... MAYBE 2... a puny bit faster or slower? Or even... have it jump to warp faster than other ships? That'd be a cool tweak.
-
I would say that since she was going to investigate the Dominion threat and rescue Sisko then perhaps Cpt Keogh had upgrades made.
Perhaps slightly stronger phasers and shields, not that either was much use for her from what I remember from the episode.
-
i say make her phasers 0.001% stronger :P lol j/k
-
USS Yamato. I decided to go with the NCC-71807 registry instead of 1305-E.
-
Awesome DJ..now all we need are blanks for these ships and they replace my SNS as my primary Galaxy Class starship
-
I like the brighter hull color from the Yamato/Odyssey. Good job :D
-
shmexy
-
I can quickly see that this pack of ships will be a keeper. All hail DJ and Adonis for their awesome-ness! :D
-
As requested, blank textures.
Also, DT, I didn't actually lighten the textures, its just the lighting.
Question for you guys. Should I release these ships as a pack or individually?
-
possibly both for the 56kers...but me personally I'd prefer a pack...so much faster
-
Personally I say go with a pack, but for those with slower internet speeds seperate would be better.
In the end it's up to you.
-
Should I release these ships as a pack or individually?
You could go both ways, really. Glad to see you're doing blanks as well.
-
As usual, wonderful work.
Other than the registries, are there any other texture changes to these ships that are different than your 1701-D?
-
no. just reg changes.
-
Thanks.
In that case, I would definitely suggest both a pack and separate installs. The reason for the separate installs would be if there were some significant change to one of your Galaxies that was just too cool not to have... but since it's just the reg change, they're just another Galaxy (pretty much identical to each other) in the line.
Some of us I'm sure would love to have a complete replacement for the complete SNS Galaxy Pack. Therefore the DJ Galaxy Pack.
While others may be satisfied with just adding separate DJ Galaxy Class ships at their discretion... kind of a "small fleet" of your ships instead of a large pack.
-
I estimate that a full download pack with all ships would only be about 80mb. I think I'll also include fixes for the weapons icons on the other ships already released.
-
As requested, blank textures.
Also, DT, I didn't actually lighten the textures, its just the lighting.
Question for you guys. Should I release these ships as a pack or individually?
as a pack less confusing and great work :D
-
Simply awesome. More cookies for you.
-
Release it as a pack and as separate installs.
-
I'd rather do one or the other so that I can more easily track the number of downloads. I think at this point I'm heavily leaning towards a pack.
-
i'd say release a pack to BCFiles, and if there are many requests for single downloads, you could later on release single downloads here, or to BCFiles at a later date...
-
Of course, it's up to you what you want to do, but for those of us who do have a slow connection
a separate install would be much appreciated.
-
First (and most time-consuming) ship of the pack is now playable in game. Pegasus has been given stronger shields, phasers, and increased maneuverability over her non-refitted cousins.
The big saucer phaser arrays are now as powerful as those of the Enterprise F, however, the other phasers have been increased to match what the old main phaser could do, so, considerably less than the new mains. Also added rapid fire quantum launchers. Pegasus can unleash 3 quantums, whilst maintaining her old torpedo load-out with a slight decrease in reload time. Shields will also recharge faster than on the older ships, with a respectable increase in shield output. Overall mobility of the vessel has been increased by about 30%.
I decided against adding ablative armor, as I think that in reality, that would be prohibitively expensive.
-
Very nice. The upgrades are sensible, appearance is still classic with a modern feel... I like this. Very cool, Dj. :]
-
where are the quantum launchers located?
-
forward launcher only.
-
just incredible job DJ Curtis 1A...! i love the look to pegasus.
It will also a damage version from the odysseus (DS9) and the enterprise d (Star trek 7) given?
and if not, you have it in the future before?
-

no damaged ships included in the pack. :)
-
The Pegasus looks amazing there.... definately a ship that would bring the Galaxy class into the next century of trek
-
love the look of the new refit mate, if only they went for somthing like this for all good things instead of the fugly galaxy x they came up with. Have a cookie mate :)
-
Question: Should I give the USS Galaxy an NX or NCC registry?
-
NX, imo. For the sake of diversity.
-
NCC, for the sake of the fact that it will be a "full-fledged" member of the Galaxy Class of ships.
The trial runs are over... it's time to start a long mission and do some exploring.
-
Or have it with an NX registry, and make it clear that it's the first of the Galaxy classes and also an experimental ship. Perhaps some differences in its hardpoint for stuff like engine efficiency, weapon strength etc?
-
I LOVE this ship.
I definately agree with: "definately a ship that would bring the Galaxy class into the next century of trek"
I would prefer NCC because in my opinion NX doesn't fit to a Galaxy Class, even to a modified version.
-
ncc
she exists on the base of the old galaxy class and so isnt experimental anymore.
just updated.
-
depends on how you plan to hardpoint the ship http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/USS_Galaxy, its listed as NCC during dominion war battles, but was confirmed to have an NX registry in its early stages. if you do an NX version, it should be dulled down a little compared to others in the pack
-
I say go with the NCC, since as said before for her one and only screen appearance she had it. Is the Challenger and the BC Dauntless going to be included?
-
Challenger is already in game, but I'm not sure about a Dauntless. Perhaps I should for the SP campaign?
-
couldnt hurt anything but the file size, although chances are your dauntless would be pretty overpowered compared to stock ships, and not many people run a heavily modded single player setup to balance it i imagine. your call
-
Challenger is already in game, but I'm not sure about a Dauntless. Perhaps I should for the SP campaign?
I'd say go for it; you've done this much. As already stated, it's your call cap'n.
-
it would only add an hour or two of work. I'll probably do it. I'm also gonna go with NCC on the Galaxy.
-
Question: Should I give the USS Galaxy an NX or NCC registry?
It was Ross' command ship during the war so an NCC registry suits it fine.
-
Nice one DJ. I always thought the BC fellas did a good job making the Dauntless' reg fit in with the other Galaxys. They fell short with the San Fransisco mind you.
-

That actually makes me wonder if a San Francisco should be added too just so both the galaxy's in SP would be covered
-
well, here's what I've got so far. I decided to go with submenus.
-
Good to see people use them!
And luckily for those who do not wish to taste of it's goodness, it's not required on ships that are enabled for it!
-
submenu ftw *searches screenshot for some top secret mod DJ may have been given...* as for the san franciso, was there even a seperate ship in the stock game for it? or did it just use the dauntless
-

lol. At best, I have open lines of communication with a few people the community owes a lot of gratitude to.

Okay guys, here are the ships in the pack so far. Sorry about the poor image quality, I forgot to enable my AA and AF.
The HP's are done for all the ships, and all the ships have functional saucer separation. The pack is far from done however, because I still need to get some working tactical displays, make tactical icons, write the tgl's, and I'd like to set up shuttle launching frameworks on all of them. I may also include a couple other ships, as well.
Galaxy, Yamato, Enterprise, and Odyssey all have identical HP's. Venture has slightly stronger shields, has two extra phaser arrays, and also carries 18 quantum torpedoes. Challenger has shields the same as the identical 4, but they recharge about 50% faster. Challenger also carries 50 quantum torpedoes in addition to the standard 500 photorp loadout. Challenger also has full-time activated saucer impulse engines, giving it a slight advantage in speed and agility.
Overall, Venture is the heaviest, but Challenger is a bit more versatile.
As for Pegasus, it doesn't compare to the others in a lot of ways, it's a lot tougher, and slightly more mobile than the others. It's probably about 80% the overall ability of the Enterprise F. So in other words, its a solid refit.
More to come later. :D Enjoy the screenshots.
-
...and Pegasus. :)
-
gorgeous. Wonderful stuff here, DJ. :]
-
All ships now have shuttle launching capability. Each will carry about 10 shuttles and a couple of runabouts.
-
Ooohh, runabouts? Are you making your own or will these be runabouts from KM or something of that nature?
-
the ones from KM1.0 All the shuttles are from KM.
-
Love the look of the Pegasus deflector dish. Sort-of a mixture between the classic look of the standard Galaxy and the Enterprise-F.
You should really consider making your own Runabout at some point ;)

Nice screenies, oh and you can use my tactical display fix from the enhancements pack if you're having trouble ;)

-
Loveing it DJ that pegasus is gorgeous, the new deflector suits it. Just a quick question tho, would you ever do a new captains yatch model.
-
probably not, just because it serves little useful function (Calypso had no weapons), and it would require a lot of work to redo the mesh, textures, mapping, and scripting for six ships. :)
-
Lol fair enough. Cant wait to try this out in game mate, especially with the runabouts, very nice
-
I think it's a pretty fun bunch of ships. Challenger and Venture are my two favorites. :) Venture is great because it can take a pounding, but Challenger is really nimble for its size. Challenger is a great bugship killer with its quantum torpedoes and extra speed.
-
Venture has slightly stronger shields, has two extra phaser arrays, and also carries 18 quantum torpedoes.
I guess I'll have to use them sparingly.
-
Ooh... so nice! Can't wait.... PEGASUS!
-
Looking great. The shuttles will be a nice touch.
First cookie i give goin out now.
-
Good news, everybody. I've had to manually input all the tactical display icon information, which was a pain, however it's in and it works. This means that all the ships will have full and fully functional tactical displays, unlike the originally two released ships. Those ships, btw, will be re-released with this pack. The next step will be to do up ship icons for each vessel.
-
Nice work bud, good to see you solved the problem!
-
really, the problem seemed to have been with the TDE. Im not sure what was the problem, to be honest.
-
oh well, its fixed now,
thats what counts!
-
Great work so far DJ
And thanks for fixing the TD. That makes this pack that much more "complete".
-
that's really what I want. I want this pack to be definitive.

At least until the next one. :D

Nice work, DJ!! Daaaaaaaaannnnnngggg those gals' sure have guns! They're fortresses! Somehow, the Galaxy seems so much more as it should have been. You, sir, have restored my appreciation for this former lumbering oaf.
-
I agree. The Galaxy has always been kind of a liability in BC, except for Scotchy's, which was acceptable in terms of strength. In my way of thinking, the Galaxy is heavy hitter.

Based on the scene I'm writing right now, she better be.
-
Great work DJ, as always.
Will you be doing the AGT version too? :)
-
nope. never.
-
OOH! :o DENIED! :funny
Just kidding. I never liked the Galaxy X either.
-
Meh. It's nothing personal. lol.
I just think the Galaxy X is a ridiculous abomination... that's all.
-

Well, then it is personal...just directed at the hideousness of the Galaxy X. :P I can't wait for the expansion to show up on BCFiles!
-
The galaxy X is a starship, too! Don't make fun of her because she's different... SHE HAS FEELINGS TOO, DARN IT!
Haha, kidding. I'm sure, though, that somebody will want to take this beauty and make a Galaxy X out of her eventually. xD

No offence, but i hope they DONT lol
I agree with DJ totally that the Galaxy X was just a horrible blight on a beautiful design. But maybe people like that sort of thing in the same way that people take a banged up old civic and then glue half a ton of plastic on it
Glad to see that last bug is ironed out, i hope we're not too far away from a release now.
-
Lets not start the Galaxy X debate again!

Lets not start the Galaxy X debate again!
yes please - we've been all over that a number of times already lol

i suspect DJ will simply adopt a policy similar to his stance towards Legacy (the game) where he simply wont allow people to bash an X class out of his work

If I recall, he established that already, when he first started working on the Galaxy model.

BOTTOM LINE
for me, anyways...
if he doesn't want an X-class, then he doesn't want an X-class. There's already a good X-class in BC Supermod 2/3, and also downloadable separately. So... peace out.
beautiful work as always, DJ. Keep haulin' in the good stuff. :]
-
Sorry I haven't been updating this lately. I was out of town substitute teaching.
For the moment, I can't give you guys an approximate release date for this mod. I start summer school teaching on Monday, and I will be too busy to probably be even online at that time very much. Then I'll have to move in August and fix up my new and old houses. Then when September hits, I start teaching in the regular school year.
I will try to find time to complete this over the summer, but updates will probably be sparse.
As to the Galaxy X, I will not be doing it. Also, as you guys know, I keep pretty tight control over my mods, so I probably would not allow just anyone to do a modification of the original mesh and textures to create an X unless it was someone I really trusted and respected with it.

Mainly cause it would take someone supremely talented and imaginative(lots of creative license would be needed) to make that hideous affront to the Galaxy design look good?
Good luck with the substitute teaching and the move! Don't worry about the release date, rushing it out to satisfy us wouldn't be a good thing. :P
-
No worries DJ... as stated so many other times... masterpieces take time.
BTW, what subjects and grade levels do you teach?
-
Teaching Grade 12 and 10 Social Studies over the summer. And then Grade 6-9 Social Studies, Language Arts and Drama starting in September.
-
Awesome. I teach college Astronomy part time in the evenings.
BTW, will you also be eventually adding the USS Mariner & USS Olympus to this pack? I think that they were late TNG Galaxies... but I may be confusing them with another starship class.
-
I've never heard of those ships being Galaxy's. So no. But there will be blank textures included in the pack. So if you want to do it yourself, it won't be a big problem.
-
The Mariner and Olympus were included in the SNS Galaxy-X pack.

Such patience that requires... You, dude, are made of win.
On that note, art can not be rushed. Take your time, get it right. We have waited this long, have we not? Best luck. Good thing I'm not in your classes or I'd never get ANYTHING done! "teacher, what's wrong with my smoothing groups?" "Mr.Curtis, these vertexes arent welding!" "Dj, the faces-"
"Aeries get your darn homework done or go to the office!!!!!!!"
hahahaha... I'll hush now. xD best luck dude.
-
lol. I don't typically give homework.
-
Sublime work, really nice.. might have to pick your brains for sure :P
-
Why would anyone want to make a Galaxy-X out of this anyway? :? This is far more in line with what we see of uprated designs in the normal timeline, and a well-done, practical interpretation at that. I don't think the X ugly so much as it was illogical, even for a militarized Starfleet. The resources dedicated to what appears was a profound refit strike me as vast enough to have instead gone toward a sleeker, lower-profile craft engineered specifically to endure the rigors of combat. I know the objective was to give viewers something new, something to punctuate the change in the state of the galaxy in the alternate timeline. But doesn't anyone else think the idea of turning the Enterprise-D into a crudely tri-engined, mega-gun juggernaut an insulting way to go about acheiving that effect, canon or not?
If I had the time and skills, I'd ask to make an Enterprise-D variant of this 2395 refit as the AGT vessel.
-
could we... possibly... NOT get into a Galaxy-X frenzy again? :/

Good. And if I was teacher I would teach music. I have an obsession on the Dr Who theme. Still, good work on the Galaxies. I thought, imagine a shiny Galaxy, and then I thought, that wouldn't look right.
-
I FINALLY reinstalled BC and started playing with your Galaxy and Valiant classes. Haven't tried the Venture yet, but I must say, dude, your galaxy is immensely impressive! I usually adore smaller, faster ships that just whip around and kick arse like the valiant, but your galaxy was so much fun, too! I can't wait [but simply will out of respect, lol. xD] for these ships to be released. This is going to be a world of fun! I can already smell the blood of the Jem'Hadar burning amongst the ashes of their ships as my galaxy wing tears through them with effortless precision... 8)
Best luck! And have fun teaching your pupils. Also, be sure that they are aware of the dangers of overloading a phaser rifle... too many kids these days are so unaware of the consequences. :( Tsk tsk...
-
I appologize that there has been not much progress on this. I'm hoping to have some time in August to finish it off, but I can't guarantee it. I've been teaching every day, plus fixing up my new house, so I haven't even turned on my modeling computer in a month.
Today's the last day of school though. Anyhow, stay tuned.
-
We'll be here waiting for it DJ..don't you worry..you do it at your own pace my friend...I just want blank textures really..LOLOL..Take care friend...

no worries, DJ! take your time - real life comes first, of course...
none of us are going anywhere lol :P

I just like knowing it's coming..."soon to your screens" :hurr :hurr
-
Quick question: is it easy to make the saucer impulse engines on the Venture light up? Kind of like them that way.
-
it's simply a matter of moving the UVW position of the texture.
-
DJ when i altered the texture of the saucer impulse engines to make them red..it also alters the texture of part of the nacelle around the bussard collector making it red also....you might want to tweak the particular texture so that it doesn't do that
-
Or,
it's simply a matter of moving the UVW position of the texture.
In fact, I'm that nice to upload mine for you. MAKE BACKUPS. (DJ, let me know if you want me to remove this, and I will.)

Update time.
Here is where this project stands...
Final ship list: (and commissioning year)
USS Challenger, 2373
USS Enterprise, 2363
USS Galaxy, 2357
USS Odyssey, 2370
USS Pegasus, 2399
USS Yamato, 2362
-Primary HP systems are complete on all ships.
-All registries are done.
-Challenger and Pegasus need tactical displays.
-Pegasus requires an icon.
-Challenger and Pegasus need shuttle launching frameworks.
So, in reality, there isn't a ton of work left to do. Heck, the biggest job is to set up my other PC (XP) so that I can run the TDE.
I hope to have this pack ready in time to celebrate the 10,000th download of the Enteprise-F.

sounds awsome but what about uss dauntless
-
not a canon ship. The only one out of the group that isn't canon is the Pegasus, and that's my own version of a refit galaxy.
also, the Challenger and Pegasus now have functional shuttle launching ability.
on that note, I will forewarn everyone that the ships will not launch shuttles in separated flight mode. I didn't think it'd be fair to be able to seperate and then launch more if you had run out. Then again, after re-integrating you can just launch them all again, but at least I tried.
-
Well, that's just more cookies, DJ. Don't want you to go hungry when you're turning out such awesomeness.
-
thanks.
bad news though. it seems that when i was last working on the tactical displays, I neglected to make displays for the saucer and drive sections of the ships independently. however, because of the bug with the TDE, I will have do each one seperately. There are 7 ships in the pack, so that means an additional 14 tactical displays to do manually. Ugh.
-
USS Challenger is the first ship to be 100% complete and game ready.
-
wasn't really off track tbh. I didn't forget about it, it's just that teaching's a busy job. lol
lol, bad choice of words on my part. :]
I'm real glad youre working on this though! I think thisll all turn out great, bro.
keep up the good work. :]

DJ, this is faaaantastic news!!
These ships set the standard.
Have another cookie... oh, yes....... cookies r goood. 8)

Yay! More of DJ's work! Bootiful!

Sweet
And if you're still planning on releasing a blank textured version, then it shouldn't matter if the dauntless isn't in the pack, people can put the ship in there ;).
This is looking sweet as ever!

That was included in the original pack, just like the EntD.
-
I didn't know there was a 2399 USS Pegasus! Or is it DJ's future Galaxy and I haven't read that bit?
-
That was included in the original pack, just like the EntD.
Yes, but DJ said he was doing some upgrades for it in the expansion, including new hardpoints and shuttle launching.
-
Yes, sorry, I forgot to mention the Venture. It's in the pack. :)
As to the Pegasus, yes, that's my future galaxy.
-
Also...
USS Enterprise is go on all fronts!
*edit* Also, USS Galaxy, USS Yamato, and USS Odyssey are finished.
*2nd edit* USS Venture too.
*3rd edit* USS Pegasus complete.
*4th edit* lol
All the following items have been completed.
1. All ships have tactical displays. This was a major complaint about the original release, in that the Enterprise and Venture had none due to a bug. As I mentioned earlier, that bug was never solved, but in the end effectively circumvented. Tactical displays are also fully present in separated flight mode.
2. All ships have icons specific to their design.
3. All ships have shuttle launching capability with a full compliment of shuttles, all of which are available in KM1.0.
4. All power issues have been resolved. A frequent complain about the original release was that there was no main battery back up. This has been rectified on all ships. Fully powering to 125% all systems will now max out the ships power capabilities and rapidly reduce long term combat potency. Selective and strategic power management will yield good results. Power demands for the impulse drive and shields have been greatly increased.
5. "import Debug" has been removed from all of the ships' custom .py file, and corrected to simply say "import Foundation". This should correct the BSOD problem many people encountered if they did not have KM1.0. Effectively, KM1.0 is no longer a requirement of this mod, even though the ship is balanced to the mod.
6. Saucers will no longer jump to warp upon separation. Warp drive systems that were accidentally included in the original release have been removed form all saucer sections.
7. The ships will use whatever default photon or quantum torpedoes a user has, correcting issues with not having proper graphics files, etc.
That's all for now. I'm really trying to ensure that there are no bugs or issues in this release. It will be thoroughly beta-tested before release. Please PM me if you have time to put the entire pack through a rigorous beta.
By the way, does anyone know how I can manually edit the ship descriptions that appear in the ship selection menu of quickbattle?
-
excellent news :D, cookie for that

yep - thats exactly the tool youre looking for to write up ship descriptions :)

Simply wonderful work on the expansion DJ, those screenies look like cgi shots the model quality is "that" good!!
Cookie for you sir!! 8)

Will the torpedoes on the DJ Galaxy be balanced?
-
Will the torpedoes on the DJ Galaxy be balanced?
He said he was going to use KM torpedoes so that people would not need custom files, so I imagine they will be balanced to KM1.0.
-
yeah, like i mentioned, the torpedo scripts are just the default torpedoes. If you have KM1.0, it will be the ones that shipped with it. If you had a stock install, they'd be the stock ones.
I thought it would be better that way since I know a lot of people have set up their favorite custom torpedoes as the default, etc.
-
These ships are awesome, they take the Galaxy Class one step above.
-
Really awesome work DJ.
And I'm not just talking about the ships... but all the nuances that you're trying to make sure are "bug free".
Needless to say, the SNS Galaxies are great models/textures etc. but they were a real pain to properly set up.
It's refreshing to see a modder who for all intents and purposes "checks everything" assuring a stable, hassle-free install... that to me is a seasoned veteran in BC modding.
Have another cookie.
-
thanks guys.
And now, for a very special announcement...
The Galaxy Class pack will also include a Special Edition (tm :)) ST:TNG Season 1 USS Enterprise D.
The Season 1 version includes many changes to mimic the original model of the ship including:
-bright glows reminiscent of the early episodes.
-brighter blue nacelle grills
-modified deflector with more orange and light blue, as well as the circular details near the center of the dish and some shape differences.
-higher contrast lifeboat hatches
-significantly thinner edges, such as around the saucer and drive section rims, as well as nacelle pylons.
-arboretum lights turned off.
-modified hardpoint
-altered impulse engines: color and shape.
-
Oh, even more flavor to the mix. ;) I really like this.
-
I think the impulses are a tad too orange. Get a bit more red in there. Other than that, wow!
-

I gotta object, sorry, I was watching the first ep the other day (It's in the Q collection), and aside from the set lighting, I'd say it looks spot on.

Teeny Weeny bit more red? Actually, I think it's the wrong kind of orange to me. This orange looks kinda beige to me.
-
to be honest, they have to be red indeed.
I uploaded a pic from trekcore from 1.1 encounter at farpoint:

The only time I remember the impulses actually being orange was in ST: Generations. Never knew why.
-

It's actually red in the movie, but as you can see ILM jazzed it up a little when they modified the six foot long model.
-
the impulse appears orange in ST generations in the scene with the optical of the Enterprise when Picard states in his log "Dr Crushed informed me that Data's emotion chip is fused....." [/nerdiness] :)
now, seriously... it's some three seconds against 8 years, so I say go for red.

That's because it was a reuse of footage from the original model from Season One.

Looking beautiful DJ :)

Wow really nice work.gratulation...

*drools and eagerly awaits the pack for the chance to see the Galaxy refit of DJ Curtis*

okay guys, I've sent the pack off to Cord, who will be doing up a preview video. It should be ready for beta testing soon.
-
How many beta testers will you have this time around?
-
Excellent news, bro! :]

How many beta testers will you have this time around?
probably 5
also, does anyone know how to manually do ship descriptions?
-
How many beta testers will you have this time around?

also, does anyone know how to manually do ship descriptions?
In the ship plugin, it's the desc attribute of a ship plugin (in the form of: Foundation.ShipDef.<<YourShip>>.desc = "Your Description").
Use \n for line endings.
-
also, does anyone know how to manually do ship descriptions?
i can help ya with that... give me a shout next time you see me on MSN Messenger...
btw - have you tried out the Advanced Ship Description Writer program that USS Sovereign made?
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Advanced_Ship_Description_Writer;92726
-
I've tried the ASDW, and it didn't work.
MLEO--> I've done that but nothing shows up. hmm.
Anyone know why it's not working? I've attached the plugin file for the enterprise.
-
you have the description line commented out...
# Foundation.ShipDef.DJEnterprise.desc = "USS Enterprise\n"
i would be happy to help with the descriptions if you cant get the program Sovvy made to work for ya... when you get to that point, lemme know and if you have something written up for the descriptions (and the plugins), i can get them all set up for ya :)
-
And it needs to be below the Foundation.ShipDef.DJEnterprise = part!
-
hey guys, I've tried a few different configurations of the script lines, and uncommented stuff, and I'm just getting the BSOD. Would one of you mind configuring it properly so I could see how it's done?
-
Sure, upload the plugin here.
-
it is just a few posts up.
-
Ah, thought you might have changed some things. I've also taken the liberty of cleaning out some things that aren't used and just add to the file size. (Gotta cut all of those extra bytes out for the 56 k'ers.)
This ought to work, if not, post the console report.
-
thanks kirk, that worked great!
-
Glad to be of service.
-
Status update: I am currently redoing all the ships' plugin files to clean them up and write descriptions, as well as do up a new menu tree structure.
-
Are they all set up with shuttles?
Some (like the Galaxy) should be stuffed with fighters while others just smaller shuttles :D
-
They are.
-
Sweet stuff, dawg. Ye be ballin'!
Okay... I'll stop the slang now. :P
-
Well, the pack is about 99% complete now. I have a couple of HP tweaks to make to the season 1 Enterprise, and perhaps a few others here and there to other ships just to give them some distinction, but other than that, this pack is ready to be assembled into a file structure and then zipped up and shipped for beta.
As you can see by the screenshot, all the ship plugins are now complete, though you can't see that they all have descriptions, which they do. Thanks to Kirk for the help. Kirk, while I didn't use your exact modified plugin file, it did inspire me to to a new blank template plugin to redo all the ships. As a result, all the ship plugins are much cleaner, more efficient, and easy to modify. In fact, adding a new ship plugin for any future galaxy class ships is as easy as using the replace function in notepad.
Beta testers will be contacted right away as soon as a DL link is established.
Also, I thought I'd unveil the mod's advertising graphic. Conveniently wallpaper sized for you widescreen folks!
-
What about the USS Trinculo NCC-71867? Is that canon?
-
Could be: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/USS_Trinculo
-
The only thing I wish from this pack is that the USS Odyssey from this pack doesn't get overwritten by the USS Odyssey from the Stargate v3 Ship Pack (downloaded and saved on external harddrive before it was deleted off BCFiles.com) like what always seemed to happen with the SNS Galaxy pack.
-
Looks good, glad you decided to clean up the plugins. :D
-

Maybe that can be solved by naming the files for the USS Odyssey; USS Odyssey NCC-71832?
-
As long as the longname, shipfile, and hp isn't the same as the SG Odyessey, then you will be fine.
-
the longname is U.S.S. Odyssey. I was mindful to use periods between the USS as that's pretty uncommon. There should hopefully be bo accidental overwrites.
-
There should be no accidental overwrites.
:D
Looking forward to the Pegasus DJ!
-
Or add, let's see, 'DJ Galaxy Class Pack', that's 20 characters, so add 20 spaces to the end of the longname. ;)
-
I can't tell if you're serious or kidding. :)
-
I can't tell if you're serious or kidding. :)
Both I suppse.
Adding spaces to the end makes it unique to Foundation, and they aren't shown in-game, and the buttons don't know of ellipses (those ... you sometimes see on windows when the title is too long).
I'm actually investigating options for this, for example, making Foundation SubMenu aware.
Which is a bit tricky, since at the time Foundation is assigning the shipdef to the "dictionary" (between ship longname and the shipdef) it's still constructing the shipdef, and most people (all, myself including) set/assign submenu at a later stage.
There are various options for this, one I'm currently exploring is loading all ships from the Ships directory into a list or something like that. And then, after everything has loaded, and assigned, assign everything a (new) name that is unique to it's place in the list (ie. species/submenus/subsubmenus/MVAMParentShip/Longname).
-
Those things are tricky. I remember having compatibility issues with the Stargate Pack and Glenn's Korolev. Involved a total reinstall and no more Stargate :(.
-
Well, I can't really help with conflicting filenames.
But some investigation into subdirectories might be interesting. And logging overwrites as well.
-
I know I had a heck of a time getting a longname for the Enterprise. Adding U.S.S. before all the names seems to have solved the problem, in KM1.0 at least.
Also, for the record, I think this will be the last time I release a pack of this scope and scale. To much work! :D
-
The problem is that no one has every ship ever released on BCF all on one install, so there's no 100% safe way to name your ships short of naming your own releases (like you already do DJ) with an extremely unique shipfile and hp, like Kirk2164Galaxy, and putting it in it's own QB menu, like Kirk2164's ships.
-
well, if people run into problems, there's always the tech support forum! That being said, I'll try to have the beta'd by people who might have conflict issues.
-
The ones in the Stargate Pack are all "Odyssey" or "DSC304", so adding "U.S.S." to the front should avoid conflicts.
-
The problem is that no one has every ship ever released on BCF all on one install, so there's no 100% safe way to name your ships short of naming your own releases (like you already do DJ) with an extremely unique shipfile and hp, like Kirk2164Galaxy, and putting it in it's own QB menu, like Kirk2164's ships.
It's all in the longname, for now anyway.
So if you have 2 ships, in the same "species", with the same longname, then one _will_ overwrite the other.

Unfortunately "Korolev" was the problem for me :P.
Whenever the next version comes out I will probably edit the Korolev hp's and files to have unique names so no conflict occurs.

Okay. This pack is finished, just needs to be packed up into a file structure and zipped. Final download size will be, err.. never mind. Anyhow, Cord has nearly finished his teaser trailer, and it should be on BCFiles in the near future to build awareness. Expect to see this mod released probably next weekend, Sunday morning.
-
Sweet, thanks for another great mod.
-
This may be a bit late coming but will there be blank textures for the Pegasus refit? I know there are blanks for the normal refit but I'm not sure about the Pegasus.
-
it can certainly happen.
-
Sounds great, can't wait, looking great :D.
-
Frakking sweet man!
-
it can certainly happen.
Yay! Looking forward to it coming out on BCF!
-
I've seen an incomplete version of Cord's trailer for this mod, and I've gotta say it's very, very cool. It's got a very ethereal feel to it.

now you're just teasing. :P haha
-
He doesn't do custom trailers, does he? :D
-
Excellent work DJ, as always you amaze all, I cant wait to use this pack
-
Okey my dokey. I've finished the video and it's been submitted to bc files. But, for you folks who've been waiting...here's a picture included with the video. :D
-
meh, those pictures are mediocre :P I kid, very excellent, can't wait to see the video :)
-
looks awesome. cant wait to have the galaxy pack in my bc install :P
-
Video's up now and it's very nice.
-
Just saw the video. Absolutely fantastic. I love that closing shot as the ship fly's by the wormhole.
-
indeed - Cord cleverly slipped in a few plugs for DS9E it seems lol
-
all the better! :)
-
Mutually beneficial. :D
Glad you all like it and it's wondeful to know that all my hard work paid off. I tell you, greenscreening stuff is harder then I first though. 8)
-
I'll definitely be checking this out after school; I eagerly await viewing this...
Quick little addition: Why not release it on Youtube? That'd get you a little more publicity too... :P Just a thought bud.
-
It isn't up there yet because I'm busy with other things but don't worry, it'll be up there soon enough.
Oh and DJ, sweet galaxys. I like. :D Cookie time.
-
great trailer cordanilus, amazing galaxy"s DJ Curtis...i hope i will see more of your fantastic work.

agreed im sure a lot people cant wait to get there hands on DJ galaxy class pack
-
DJ Curtis, is there actually updates of status from your galaxy pack..?
'm just curious...
-
it's done when it's done.
don't ask for mod updates, modders dont like that ;)
-
neither do the moderators for that matter
remember that DJ always waits to submit his mods on sundays so that he gets an accurate count on BCFiles. so it wont be coming out in the next several days at least
-
It is a bit annoying to go look at a thread like this, expecting awesomeness, and then only to encounter 'is it done' threads followed by the counter threads smiting people who asked, the posters of which were then smote themselves for doing moderators job for them. :arms:
It's also why threads end up getting locked. ;)
Now that I'm done pseudo-quoting the start of the Holy Grail... More cookies for DJ.
-
Nothing has changed since last update. It is 100% ready, but has not been beta-tested. I just don't have the time right now to organize the effort or to make corrections.
-
DJ is the master.. he won't release until he knows it is perfect. That being said.. I'm off work a couple weeks.. I can test the bejubas out of them if you will allow it. ;) I know I know.. I'm just impatiant also. ;)

So, here's the scoop. The pack is essentially complete and has been since early November. However, i've discovered a problem that I haven't been able to solve. Whenever the pack is installed into a KM installation, a lot of the stuff that KM comes with stops working, including stuff like in-system warp, shuttle launching, etc. I think it might have something to do with the new ship plugins. Has anyone ever run into a problem like this?
-
Yes, the problem is in the carrier script.
-
Really? That is it? I always wondered what it was. So if I delete carrier scripts from my installs, will I get those things back?
-
That, or post them up in Tech support and MLeo can help sort them out.
-
*Monotome voice*You rang?*/Monotome voice*
DJ, have you tried looking in the console after you have loaded the ship?
-
no because it never makes any sense to me. :)
-
all the more reason to post a console report :P
-
no because it never makes any sense to me. :)
There is very little, in the realm of BC anyway, that makes no sense to me. ;)
-
well, i'll post a console report as soon as I can. I'm about 300km from my PC right now. I'll be home in a couple of days.
-
Anything to see this mighty pack coming back to life. The anticipation has been worth it and still is!
-
DJ you better make it back home in one day :P I'm dying with excitement :D
-
I'm hoping that the saucer section wont have a warp drive this time after MVAM is used.
Other then that, DJ, my beta tester status has been 'reinstated' (so to speak).
Just thought I'd let you know.
lol
-
that problems was fixed. no more warp drive on the saucer section.
-
Yes, the problem is in the carrier script.
I removed the carrier scripts and voila! Everything works again, except of course, for the shuttle launching on the galaxy class ships. Any idea what's wrong with the script? I've posted one.
-
At the very top of the script, change Dauntless.py to DJChallenger.py
I could be wrong as I have little experience with carrier files. But comparing yours to others in my BC folder that work correctly, the only difference I see with yours is the top line.
Like I said, I could be wrong but it doesnt hurt to try it DJ. Worst case scenerio: BSOD caused by the same file.
-
it's preceded by a # symbol. It shouldn't make any difference. Good thought tho.
-
that's what i used. Actually, I figured out the problem. Turns out it was the DJEnterpriseSeason1.py carrier file. There was a misnamed line that for some reason that i don't understand, was messing up a whole ton of KM technologies. Oh well, problem solved. Thanks for the help! :)
*edit*
I have contacted beta-testers and they will be receiving the complete beta tomorrow morning. Hoping for a January 1st release.
-
Yeah, the "one faulty script" that "blows up" the entire bunch is a known problem in plugin loading scripts (even Foundation, where you get a BSOD). Hopefully (ok, I know it will) BC:Core (one of those eternal mods of mine) will solve that by just reporting the error.

I've just noticed something...
I looked at an ingame pic of the Pegasus (in this thread) and another post stating the construction dates of the included Galaxies. For a ship being built in 2399, NCC-78*** (can't remember it), that registry is rather low, as if it was built in the early 2380's. Any particular reason for the reg being so low...?

The Pegasus is a refit. In the ship description it explains a bit about the ship's history.
-
This pack will be released tomorrow.
-
Thank goodness. He's been modding so much he kept mumbling "No, no, no more textures" in his sleep. :?
-
Excellent news (apart from DJ's nocturnal mumblings).
Offtopic but I wanted to congradulate you DJ on a well deserved award for 2008's best fan created model! Looking forward to 09'!
-
Fascinating. I haven't had that kind of experience with my writing hobby. Maybe it's because I'm nowhere near as prolific. :P
Excellent news DJ, can't wait.

Jolly good. I'm looking forward to seeing all these Galaxies!
