Also, at the point of me texturing this ship, it would be best if you just send me just the additions, not the whole ship.  This would greatly reduce extra mapping.

I had a thought about that. I'll just send you the addition, as you suggest. ;)

Additionally, it shouldn't take me too long to either construct a new pod or modify this one to fit better to your opinions. It's becoming quite a fast job, actually. :)

Thanks guys,
-Aeries.

Once modeling becomes easy, it becomes quick too. :)

About that weapons pod, I recall you saying something about dual pods?

Anyway looks very nice. 8)

I may forgo the pods entirely; As lint pointed out (and I agree), the Mithra's overpowered as it is.

It is a very powerful ship as it is, so yeah, weapon pods would be a bit redundant.

I think that to match the Mithra's smooth lines an AWACS style sensor would be more fitting.

Here's a first glimpse of the Mithra's textures.  Don't worry about the texture errors, I haven't got to that area yet. :D  Enjoy!

hehe, anyone notice how it looks like it's been in atmospheric combat? With, like, the burns running up the hull on the forward saucer? :3 Wiley did such an excellent job! ^_^ I give him cookie now.

to be blunt, i seriously dont like the idea of having damage and scorch marks on the textures. we get enough of that in the game already.

Loose the damage for the game release, keep it for the screenshot/potd'ers. It's not like it doesn't have it's use. You could also consider non-damage related weathering as an extra texture pack.
