DS9fx hardpoint thing
« on: April 16, 2017, 10:19:51 PM »
I've just noticed that DS9fx loads its hardpoints from scripts/Custom/AddOn/ships/Hardpoints instead of the usual scripts/ships/Hardpoints.

I only noticed because I went to edit some hardpoints for personal taste, and when I modified the hardpoints located in the usual place, nothing in-game changed. So I went looking for what the hell the issue was and eventually came to the conclusion that the game must be loading the hardpoint from somewhere else.

Is there a reason this was done? It doesn't really bother me or anything, I'm just curious.

it was done for the scripted missions in DS9 FX.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I've never used such a folder structure in the initial release. Could have been modified in a release such as in KM.

quite sure I remember you making that for the initial release. Did it so changes to ships wouldn't overwrite hardpoints others had in their modded installs.

I never had such a structure. I did prefix all Ds9fx ships scripts and Hps with Ds9fx to prevent overwriting though anything in anyones install.

huh so you are right... I found the install in my dropbox and gave it a look. It must have been done in KM and I just mixed it up. xD

lol, I just love it when I make a topic on a forum and a discussion between two other people erupts.  :icon_lol:
