I think the shadows are fine, 3-d programs are gonna render the shadows depending on the position of any lights and render settings anyways, it looks awesome. Funny thing is, and this is a comparison story- i once did a photoshop image manipulation, in the image there was a girl in a ghostbuster costume manipulated in with other images. People commented how the girl's head was off scale, how that was a "flawed" manipulation- lol..it was the real HER, the entire head and body were NOT photoshopped only her insertion into the rest of the image. I had to laugh at that, people will see things that are not there, or think in this age of photoshop they are the experts at judging every "what's realistic" aspect of a picture to say it works. My point is, sometimes a picture is what it is, and shadows or someones head. will look odd to someone but that does not mean it is off. (and i know the comment about the shadows was not an insult or anything to Dalek's image, i just had this old antic dote pop in my head from a while ago wanted to share it.)
