Yip, but only theory...I have these 2 pictures for you to see. The texture has to be black and white or the color will show on the ship...okay, so not only black and white. But whatever color the ship is generally...I just used a B/W texture on DJ's Galaxy.

Now, I didn't want to bake the bump map look on the base texture. Didn't want to make changes to DJ's beautiful work. So the MultiTexture allows me to add textures on top.

I'm slightly confused. Are these actual bump maps that react to the light? If so, that's freakin awesome! If not, it's still awesome that you can add them to ships without baking them in.

Unfortunately, are not real bump maps so it doesn't react to light. But, it is a greyed out normal map that is overlapping the base map. I'm still testing this out, I'll make a separate thread for this later. For now, just me screenshots. :-P

I don't like to rant and make a scene so i'l post it here but comments like Dorkface's currently up on BC PotD is incredibly demotivating. I know he'e a troll and all but in all my time in the community never have I met such ignorance. I know he has a right to an opinion but there are such things as being polite and respectful. [/rant]

I know, and this is how i felt a year ago! People joked about it that i acted 'stupid' but to see such a post, while you put such a lot of time in it, is indeed very demotivating.

It's TUAkula, The_Unknown_X's... it's pretty good, and packs a nice punch for TMP era vessel. he also did DW and damaged version.
