Q8300 @2.50GHz (whatever that means)
AA is set to 8xS and AF is set to 16x
Here's Jimmy!

That means that you have a decently powerful CPU

BTW, what does the "Here's Jimmy!" refer too?
OK, so here's the reason I originally asked for your system specs. I've always noticed that the models (whatever they may be) used in your screenshots look very smooth and quite realistic. So, I was wondering what your AA and AF settings were as they obviously make things look much better the higher they are set at. The trade off however is that game play frames-per-second suffers greatly the higher the AA/AF settings are. That's why I also asked you about your general system specs.
On my system with my previous video card, I too had my AA/AF settings at 8x & 16x (with the AA in quality, full scene mode... just makes things look a bit better) but when I took screenshots at those settings, even though my pictures turned out quite nice, I still saw a bit of aliasing here and there. I just purchased a new, significantly more powerful video card and now play at 16x AA & between 16 and 32x AF and the screenshots and game play are incredible.
Now here's the real question: do you actually
play QB at your AA/AF settings or do you bump them up just for screenshots? As for me, I play and screenshot all at the same settings. And the real test is when I have a lot of models during game play. Things only start to visually slow down when I have about 30 or so ships loaded - and only slightly at that. My screen resolution is 1920x1080 and for screenshots, I usually size them down to save on file size for faster uploads.
Bottom line, not only are your pics wonderfully layed out, but also of very high quality
007Bashir and Killallewoks also have very similar quality on their shots.
Sorry to deviate from the norm of this thread but I was just curious
