I used to hate the Enterprise-E when I first saw her all those 16 years ago but now I think she is one of the most gorgeous ships to carry the name

Thanks Wiley, Shaun and Vortex. Having been grown up on TNG I was upset the E-D had met her end in Generations and the E-E, Defiant and Voyager seemed far too militaristic too me back then.

Well, the E had about the same number of weapons as the D until Nemesis, the Defiant was purposely built to fight the Borg, and Voyager had plot armor all over it. :P

Actually, the E had two forward torpedo tubes and two aft tubes and the quantum torpedo turret, so she had a few more teeth than the D.  For a ship built to fight Borg, the Defiant did a terrible job of it.  And agreed on Voyager.

Honestly, my least favorite designs were the Enterprises C and D, with the B close behind.  Don't much like Voyager's design much either.  The C, D, and Voyager just seem disproportionate and unbalanced.  I know that doesn't matter in space, but it makes them look weird in my eyes.  And the B was Starfleet taking a graceful looking starship and slapping crap on it for the heck of it.

I always rather liked the B, guess I'm in the minority there.

I can get with you on the C, though, never did like the Ambassador class. Voyager was okay from some angles, but awful in most.

To be fair to the Defiant, it did hold out throughout the battle, we saw many other ships go down.

Some images of Wiley's new Connie refit.  I'll probably put up some more tomorrow.

"She'll launch on time sir.  And she'll be ready."

"Take us out."

"Gentlemen.  We've come home."

"'All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.'"

Nice Shadow!

But if your vid card is capable of it, turn on AA. It'll make your pics much smoother.

Thanks!  And as promised, a couple more.

"Of course, we are one big happy fleet.  Ah Kirk, my old friend.  Do you know the Klingon proverb that tells us 'Revenge is a dish best served cold'?  It is very cold in space."

Oh no...not again.
