Well, Rush hasn't exactly been up front about everything, and seeing as he's their Daniel Jackson, he's the only one with enough knowledge to get things done (Granted reading ancient is impressive, but this guy knows how to operate Ancient Tech, and he never got a guest spot on SG1!).
Him and Young have that natural dislike for each other, so I am guessing we'll see them almost get along, and then some tiny thing will start it off again.
To Phaser: Rush seems quite greedy, and we know that he's only interested in Destiny, not the survivors. Less people means less resources and rations used, unless of course, a swarm of reproducing, superintelligent bugs weasel through an active wormhole and get thirsty. In short, Rush would suffer no remorse from people leaving by their own will. Besides, perhaps he just wanted to watch Destiny as she burnt up. I personally think that'd be a pretty epic way to die... On a space ship thousands and thousands of years old, careening into a sun, with your favourite song on your MP3 player.
Personally I don't hate any of the characters (yet), Scott is a little annoying, which is weird, I figured Eli would've driven me out of my skull, but he's growing on me, despite his supermoral "omg u lie". I find Greer is a pretty neat character, the ability to hold a straight face no matter what he's saying and the constant tone of his voice makes him seem unpredictable. Rush and Young take the cake though, they argue so well.

I agree with Darkthunder, too. Eli was just making it worse. All of that information could've waited until they had managed to get the bugs to the gate, or gotten them close. Or even after they'd gotten back and WEREN'T WASTING PRECIOUS MINUTES OF AIR. :mad
