Seriously if your going to base a new series off a of few "bad" episodes then no series would last to the second season, I haven't see a show yet where every episode during the first season, heck any season was perfect. Theres always a few annoying episodes, but so far I love the show, is it perfect, no, but very very few shows are and I have yet to see a perfect show

Then you haven't seen the show NCIS. I personally think that all episodes from the first one of season one, up until the most recent have all been excellent.

Every good series that follows a central storyline needs some episodes to back off and set up for later episodes. This episode does exactly that. It also gives a good portrayal of how people are coping with all the stress.

We see the scientist dude happy because his plants are starting to grow
Young gets to beat Telford's ass
Lisa Park does her service to the men of the ship
and even Rush attempts to contribute to morale (which works, and I hope that Camile was able to keep her mouth shut about it).

Ad for the next episode aired here, due in (wait for it) 2 weeks, as the apparent mid-season finale.  It really is BSG:U!  :funny

Are you referring to the mid-season break as being BSG like? It really isn't. Lots of shows do it.

There was a time where TV Shows aired for their full season, maybe off for a week or two for reasons like important events. :arms:

They don't film the episodes the week they're shown.

There are already blu-ray/dvd commercials for the first half of SGU season 1 called: "SGU Season 1.0"

this is BSG all over again XD

Saw the artwork for the first half of season 1 on Blu-Ray. TBH, a 5 year old with Photoshop could do a better job then the market department at MGM!
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Or mister chair guy wakes up, he knows how to control the ship, and go back for Rush's 'body'.

Or aliens.

Well, it's pretty much a definite that Rush will be back one way or another. Robert Carlyle is the only actor on the show with any amount of star power. I pretty much lost all respect for Colonel Young after this and the previous episode (Life). No fan of putting the IOA in charge of the ship either, but neither Young or Rush are cut out to be the "commander" of the ship after recent events.

Spoiler: show
Robert Carlyle ...  Dr. Nicholas Rush (20 episodes, 2009-2010)

I like that the stress and pressure is really starting to show in the various characters. That episode was pretty shocking, especially that very last scene.

I want to be the one who comes up with the zaniest idea, so:

That thing that "fell" off of Destiny during Air may very well be following behind, possibly even the same race as this newly discovered ship. I think it'd be cool for Rush to be making a dash after Destiny, though. Show what he's like when he's alone by no choice of his own.

Either way, I hate that we have to wait to find out!

from what I could tell using side by side comparisons, the ship they find on the planet is the same as the one that detached from the hull in Air part 3.
