well, it shouldn't take me too long.  It helps that I make my textures in max, it's a pretty quick thing to do.

textures in max..?   :arms:

heh, not a secret at all.  It's just that a couple years ago, I knew how to model, but not texture.  I've never been good with photoshop, and didn't want to spend the time learning.  On top of that, at that time it was impossible to find dedicated texture makers.  So I just went with what I knew, and figure out a way to simply model the textures as well.  The part that I really like about it is that mapping is very easy and very precise, because you can make the textures directly over the faces that you want to apply them to.  I simply detach what I want to texture, flatten it with an FFD, and voila, I have my guide.

You should make a tutorial for that 'cause I'm trying to texture my stuff right now and the programs that I'm using are giving me a headache.

I've done up bump, glow, and specular maps and applied them all.  This should give a fair approximation of how the ship will look in NanoFX GE.  I'm very pleased with the results.

I'll be doing the Venture.  Don't worry about that.

Now, onto some in game shots.  Mostly just comparison shots of my Galaxy next to the SNS and CE Galaxy's.

Comments and suggestions are both welcome.

More to come soon, except I've got fix the ship's orientation and crank up my graphics card settings.

Interesting.  I was doing some pics of the SNS Venture for my latest fan fic project; I guess I'll hold off on doing covers until this summer.
