Small problem with ship plugin
« on: December 01, 2007, 05:49:54 PM »
I replaced the BOP in KM 1.0 with another model and created a new ship plugin.
In quickbattle under Klingon Ships, there are now two bird of preys attributed to
the same model.

You will have to be more clear.

It's perfectly fine for 2 ship plugins to point to the same ship/hp/model.
It's the name that's important.

Or are you having a BSOD?
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

I deleted all the files related to the KM 1.0 BOP, models, custom plugin, ship file, and hardpoint

I installed another BOP and created a custom plugin with BCSMC using "Bird of Prey" as the name.

When I load quickbattle this is what I get:

Klingon Ships
Bird of Prey
Bird Of Prey

"Bird of Prey", the one I created loads fine. But the old one, "Bird Of Prey"
still loads, but points to the new model. How do I get rid of it after I
already deleted the old files?

Ah, it's the stock BoP, you will find it in StaticDefs.py, but I can't advise you to change that.

What you can do however, is naming it exactly the same as the original BoP. Then it ought to replace it.
