Thanks, everyone! Right now I'm waiting for starforce2 to convert the ships. Then I'll be able to continue work on the hardpoints.
Textures could do with better details (unless you are basing them on what can be seen on the rubbish cameras that had back then). as I'm possitive theres much more details on the actual TOS Enterprise model.
You're thinking of the inaccurate paint job Ed Miarecki did to the model back in 1991 which is on the model today. While he did get the details correct, he made everything far too pronounced (see
this page). He thought he was compensating for the washed-out appearance of the ship on-screen due to the filming techniques of the day, but he went
way overboard.
I've seen a few rare high-quality photos of the ship taken during filming for the show, but I can't find them at the moment (I'm kicking myself for not saving them). But, I do have a few images that'll help demonstrate what the model really looked like, and how Ed only messed it up further with his paint job:
The top of the Enterprise model has (thankfully) been virtually untouched since it was originally painted back in the sixties, so it's a great reference.
And here's what the bottom of the ship looks like, thanks to Ed Miarecki:
Gah! Get it away!
As you can see, everything is
way over-emphasized.
More evidence:
Mairecki's paing job:

Though this shot has a starfield imposed onto the blue screen, I've seen a photo taken during the shooting of this scene (that's the shot I'm really kicking myself for not saving), and I assure you, besides being a
little blurry there was almost no loss of quality upon adding the starfield. Though the ship is a little blurry in the shot, you can still see the weathering on the ship, and it's clear that the contrast wasn't nearly as great as Miarecki thought.
Trust me, Cube. I've done my homework.
