WOW.  The model and textures both look amazing, but that lens texture stands in a league of its own.  Making it partially transparent and giving it a specular map really make it look like glass (or a material with similar light properties).  Nice work!!

This thing looks very high poly.  Can it damage in-game, or is it like the other timeship that's out now, where having damages on will crash the game?

It stands at around 24k, the old had around 28k. I think the reason the old one didn't damage is that it well over 100 groups (244 to be exact). This has 5.

BC's engine doesn't support normals.  Did you bake the normals into the texture?

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, been busy with work. :)

Well it's not what you would call baking using max, I combine my textures with the normal maps along with the specs in Photoshop which sort of simulates the effect.

does my memory fail if I claim that when the Voyager crashed to the Krenim timeship, it had only one nacelle left?

Have to wait until it's released :P

Right, just a few images to show the Krenim's main temporal weapon & a new ship... the Vaadwaur ;)

It's a relatively a small craft, & there aren't that much detail on it, however the design is very unique :P

Enjoy

And yes, the Vaadwaur is a unique ship. :D

Just a thought... is it possible to make a weapon cause a planet to disappear from the game?

Jb was just saying on MSN about getting Frontier on the case :P Though he was actually refering to removing ships, not planets. But as all the DQ planets will be ships, should be pretty much the same thing.

I'm pretty amazed by the progress we've made recently! Theres some more stuff on the way too! Watch this space ;)

Am I the only one who can't help but think of putting craters in planets via quantum Torp or the Xindi weapon?

Defiant mad a script called "PlanetKill" (included in KM) to let certian Ships destroy Planets and let only a Debrie fiel floating around.

Just looked at it, the PlaneKiller needs a Foundation entry like that:

Foundation.ShipDef.PlanetKillerShip.bPlanetKiller = 1

Yea but the PlanetKill thing works for destroying only regular Planet objs.
DQP systems will not have regular planets - they'll be planet SHIPs.

And if you guys checked my Tech Pack on BCFiles, it has a tech to allow the destruction of ships easily :P
However when destroying planet-ships no debris field is left in its place... Something that can be easily fixed tho  :D

About damaging the planet-ship enough to leave a mark but not really destroying it, it is possible, but it depends on how Jb is creating the planet-ships in the system scripts. So better to wait his awnser on that lol
