That would be the "alcove" area in front of the deflector. The Sovereign has a similar area. It is not a problem with texture or mesh I believe. This retexture looks great I might add.

thats because on the reference shots, the azteching has that kind of pattern, dark, light, dark, light etc on the bottom of that saucer section, so ive only done the same.

Just a general note to testers, go to bcs to get the link for the bioship. You'll need the CGI Voyager if you want to try out the nano probe torp which will only destroy a JLS8472 bioship thanks to frontier ;)

Ok just another update on the prometheus textures. All sections have now been done, all that needs taking care of are some smoothing issuses which we will hopefully fix.

On another note, both nova has been scrapped for good reasons ;)

Hmmm, if I had to guess....maybe Lint or someone else started a brand new mesh for it rather than a retexture?

And now for the revelation as to the cause of all the snickering earlier!

The mesh is done, weighing in at a healthy 20k. Mapping is almost done.
