Endless warp travel to the colony

Okay...so I liked the BC demo and bought the full BC and after installing I can't get past warping away from the Star Base to the colony system. There is just apparently endless travel in warp; with no options to do anything but escape to the beginning otptions screens. Any ideas? I am running this with Windows Vista Home Premium--but the Demo worked fine with this OS. Help!

Do you have any mods installed? Most of them are not SP-compatible. Turn them off might help.

  I didn't install any "mods"--if you mean those extra BC downloads I have seen on the gaming websites, Mandalore.

 :? I did install two patches but I think those were for a ST game but I think those were for ST: Legacy, not for BC. Where can I find the patch to which you refer, MLeo?

  Frak! I didn't need the Patch--I had installed v. 1.1 and didn't need it! So now what do I do? Reinstall?

Try getting us a console report when you are stuck in Warp.
