Well, it works because it changes "something" (ie. anything) about the graphics, meaning that BC will go check if the resolution is valid, and it isn't (to BC) so it will revert to something that is.

I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...
