Disruptor & Torpedo Flash
«

You see the 'flash' created by firing disruptors/torpedoes in this picture?
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/potd/101068
I don't like it either... Where is the image located (I.e. Data/models...etc) and are there any better ones out there? (Preferably smaller and less defined)
Would appreciate help, thanks...

Those are the NanoFXv2Beta warp flashes.
They can be changed colour (see the recent sticky in Scripting:
Customizing ship plugins for NanoFXv2Beta features
).
Considering it's a NanoFX texture, it's in the scripts/Custom/NanoFXv2Beta/ directory (somewhere), I believe in the SpecialFX/GFX directory.
I don't know of any mods that alter this.

MLeo, since that is the NFX warp-flash, would it be possible to rescript NFX to direct the disruptor flashes to a new texture, rather than replace the existing warp-flash?

Um, it's a seperate texture. Not used by WarpFX, which has its own directory.

Those are the NanoFXv2Beta warp flashes.
Ok, I guess I misread this.

I probably miss-wrote that.
Weapon, Warp, they can get confused if you ask me, I got bitten by that in my recent guide to NanoFXv2Beta customization for ships a couple of times.
I meant weapon flashes.
