Missing Phaser SFX for Nebula Pack
« on: May 08, 2008, 07:13:19 AM »
I downloaded a Nebula pack recently, can't remember who's sorry. But it has multple versions of the Nebula class including the NX Nebula.
As you may have guessed, I have missing phaser SFX, on some of the arrays there are sounds, but not on others...
I don't see why though, any help?
Did you know I'm on Twitter?

I think it's possible that you are missing a requirement for the mod (I suspect you are using the CR Nebula pack, but, unsure). I suggest you install Elminsters Common Weapon pack to be sure.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Just add the working sfx sounds to your hardpoints.

Somehow, I get the feeling he doesn't know how to do that.

I've looked through the comments of the CR Nebula Pack and this one stood out:

All phasers should have sounds; perhaps I forgot the Type IX phaser sounds - I don't remember - if you have this problem then just take the ship's hardpoint and rename the sounds for the Type IX phasers from "Type IX Phaser" to "Ambassador Phaser" and that should solve your problem.

Sorry about that - I kind of threw this pack together since I didn't have a lot of time for it.

Now, upon futher investigation, I saw this file:
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/CR_Nebula_2_patch;72446
Where it says this in the description:

*snip*
Also this patch fixes a bug in the phaser sound effects for the NX Nebula.

There you go, have fun with your Phaser sounds working.
