Working on something new...
« on: June 11, 2008, 08:22:42 PM »
In the series, we saw two versions... each with slightly more functionality. I'd like to consider this work in progress to represent a possible version 3.

Suggestions welcome.

You'll come across a lot of us who either dug throguh every technical print they could find about Trek or are just really, really good at memorizing the critical decks.

The Battle Bridge would be a great addition, but then you'd need to contact creators of the various Galaxy model owners about re-releasing a BPGold version of their ship (So that it'll swap to the battle bridge on separation.)

Have you thought about doing it for a couple of them, but more covertly? It's possible and no re-release nessesary (maybe a mutator).
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

I intend to use this as a method of teaching myself how to texture, create LCARS, and to script bridges.  The next phase, once the retexture is complete, is to learn how to make basic modifications to the model and then to eventually create one of my own.

Obviously, a somewhat long term plan. :)

Incorporating a "swap" mutator is definitely part of that list.

well, it's not really a mutator, but with BPgold and a couple other things it is just a matter of adding a couple lines to the Ships/custom/ships scripts

But, it's possible to do that remotely (so no need for a re-release of the ship mod), and that act can be done via a mutator if neccesairy.
