The Enterprise A model from Star Trek VI uses more grey in the hull than white. The inner warp nacelles are only active when
the ship is at warp. Additionally, the plating atop the secondary hull on the studio model doesn't have a drab blue color; it meshes
better with the gray and white hues. Also, the white deck lights around the saucer are clearly visible.

I never thought Khalibans model came close to the one featured here in ST:VI. Good try on the textures, but I think the closest looking model we have is Doc McCoy's TMP Pack of Constitutions.

Okay, the textures are almost all how they are on Khaliban's because for some reason, GIMP only lets me adjust the alpha channels.

Secondly...Doc USED Khaliban's 1701-A for his pack!  It's the exact same model.  Also, I don't know how to set up a ship for Ftech, so the nacelles stay on.

Yeah, but he got the textures close to what they should have been. I'm not bashing your work at all.
Don't sweat it though; nothing can come close to the original model.

I know you're not.  I'm also obligated to point out that at this point, Doc McCoy has NOT done the 1701-A.  He did the 1701 from STI, II, & III.  There are major color differences between the two.  And as I said in the readme, this is a 1.0.  And Doc has mentioned making the A for his v2.0 of his Connie pack and he'll likely use a few of the textures from this.  So...consider this a preview of a WIP. ;)

That's true we lacked an up to date A, also Enterprise A DID have blue upper secondary hull tho it's just all matter of lighting, my first pack is also all wrong as it has non canon sec hull platings as well as color scheme as it was meant to be ST1/2/3 era pack, you can see how Enterprise from ST 2 should look like : http://bc-central.net/forums/index.php?topic=3183.0

I'm glad I could help you with this one :D It's true I'll be using some textures from this one, especially alpha channels as I'm planning to make some of the ships in standard refit style and some of them in 'A' refit style :D

It's odd how the Enterprise has the dirty yellowish look in ST:II as opposed to the grayish white sceme
of ST:VI when the same studio model was used for both movies.

that's because Enterprise have seen some action during the period between TMP and TWOK, I can't remember correctly but ST2 was set about 15 years after TMP so you could assume it old ship and its hull platings lost most of their pearlescent shine and became rusty/dirty beige instead :D

Anyway, major thanks to Dr_McCoy1701A for his help in this.  Just so everyone knows, this whole mod started with me getting fed up with the complete un-blue-ness of Khaliban's original deflector, and it just went from there, and now it's not only a featured mod, it's on the Top 25 Downloads!!!  YAY!!!!  :D
