Sovereign-class Interior
« on: July 01, 2008, 12:21:28 PM »
I have decided to bow to some pressure and opt to attempt a Sovereign-class set next. Since the bridge is done already and I don't need it 1701-E set I'll leave that out. Also I'm won't be texturing it either as I don't want to get bogged under with LCARS textures so if someone want to team up with me for that part then give me a shout.

I achieved some good results with indirect illumination and rendering to texture (at last! :D)
it's not hard, but takes time if the model is complex
when you start lighting it, drop me a message.

It looks pretty good so far, but i thought, we have already an engineering room for the sovereign class made by the Excalibur crew http://www.stexcalibur.com/index.php?view=article&catid=13%3Abridges&id=35%3Asovereign-class-interior&option=com_content&Itemid=30

Perhaps, before you continue with this mod, it may be benificial to talk to the Excal team about this. Since it's Nemesis era then they might be interested in your work. If so, it would save you the hassle of doing a few rooms that they've already done themselves.

Hehe, it'd be funny if baz released all the interiors (set up to work with excal) on the day Excal is released and then replaced all the hard work the team had done j/k (don't want any of the Excal team to take my post seriously)
