Intrepid Bridge BP Retexture
« on: September 23, 2006, 12:18:39 AM »
Hey I?m new here and this is my first bridge retexture.
It is a small revamp of the Intrepid bridge High Rez retext by Mark, which uses the Bridge Plug-in to switch Lcars according to the alert status so if its red alert all Lcars except for the helm will have red lcars and so on for Yellow, Blue and Green. Also implemented is a set of dark lcars when the main power is below 1% or when one ejects the warp core making it a bit more cannon. The Blue alert bridge installs as a second bridge for the moment since it?s intended to be used for MVAM and that for the moment MVAM maps have not been implemented yet in the Bridge Plugin.

For now this mod is an open Beta (with permission from Mark) and can be Downloaded Here (38Mb), Also a full set of screen shots can be found Here. There is also a file missing in original archive which must be downloaded here for the Blue Bridge to work (Thanks AndrewJ for finding that)

Since this mod uses a large number of Supported & Unsupported BP functions it can become unstable (that?s one thing being tested in this beta) also any ideas for improvements will be welcomed.

Edit: Added a link to the missing file

Legal Stuff - This is an independent mod, 3rd Era or Me takes no responsibility for any damages caused by this Beta.

Wonderful....ecspecially the changing LCARS !!!!  :D

Edit: Looks brilliant in game, but after the 3rd time of switching back to status green, my BC crashed to desktop !
Otherwise it?s working fine for me...

Lovely , can't want to see some more bridges done this way after a little bit.

I'm getting a page cannot be displayed on the download section of the filefront website.

Strange because I am downloading or was some files from BCFiles only a few minutes ago.

Well got this downloaded now and installed.

My install is a KM 0.9.1 install with the bridge core plug in and the advanced core script added.

I have no other alterations.

Now the problem I am having is I see the new bridge as Intrepid Blue * i assume this is correct* and when selected this bridge the game just hangs there with the background noise of the engines like normal.

After 5minutes the game is still hung taking 100% cpu from my AMD 64 3000 cpu.

Anyone else having big problems?

This may not be the right thread for this.

I'm not sure what "advanced core script" is, so I can't say if it affects anything.

But, try alt tabbing, or starting in Windowed Mode (Graphics Options).
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

Advanced core options also comes in BCS-TNG it gives you the option to shut down warp and torpedos to give you more power for engines and shields, and also the power to overload your plasma injectors and to divert core SIF to batteries.

I can ALT+TAb to the desktop and I have tried windowed mode to no avail.

All i can come up with is that it is not compatable with Bridge Core?

Sorry about the delay, the problem with the blue bridge is a missing script that was missed in the original  . This should fix it.

Edit: Also Updated the Main Post

Thanks, at the moment there will be no updates to at least december after my uni finals, but please post ur opinions and technical issues. Also there will be some changes to some of the lcars and consoles to make it look more realistic and functional.
