Now I know there is a lot of talk about uniforms and there's the poll and everything but, have you thought of any ideas? I have some locked away in my mind... :|

Oh I've got a few ideas, feel free to PM me though if you wish, and I'll see what I can do.

Hmm! Well, I have a feeling my ideas won't do yours justice. Let me draw my ideas or something...

Thread resurrection! I scrapped the old model, as it was full of errors, jaggies, etc etc.

Instead, I am going to be using this model for the female body. There's smoothing errors all over the place, yeah, but they'll be fixed up once the body is completely welded (The arms are clearly not even part of the main geometry yet, no feet or hands, so on and so forth). Personally, I think this model is going to be loads better than the old.

Looks great.
Although the size of the upper body compared to the legs seems to be a bit off. ;)

That's intentional. As it's been stated, these won't be canon to start off with.

Okay, if this is intentional, it's great! ^^

It seems there's a few people who'd probably enjoy the influence in the design, which will become rather obvious when I start modelling the face. ;)

Well, she's really starting to take shape! I finally put the arms on, and increased the smoothing errors to maximum, which I will be fixing up as I learn. Next up, the neck and head!

To be honest:
I like the old better.

I did at first too, but the way I was making it was tedious and composed of boxes rather than cylinders, which would lead to far too much time spent fixing it all up. This way is easier, tried and true by game devs, and alot quicker!

...Though, if it's the shape you're talking about, I'll work something out. ;)

EDIT: Looking at it now, I'm not happy with the shoulders/arms at all...

Web-like arm pits.

OH OH OH! I dare you to make an emo officer!!! He MUST be tactical! And say: "I'll make your lives worse than mine!" or "I love you but I'm shooting anyway!!!" ...and you think Saffi's bad...

If you actually decide to do this, and you need pics of emo peoples, I can get some really good ones in the blink of an eye.

...just an idea.

Anyways, you're doing really well. Better than I can. xD Then again, I've never even tried to model people before... xD

Hah, the webbing under the arms will be fixed up when I sculpt some muscles onto her, nothing major but...

I was thinking at one point of modelling characters in tribute to various modders in the BC community, but I'm not sure I'd be very good at it.

As for having an Emo Tac officer.... I live in the biggest Emo capital in the world. I can't even look out my window without seeing rubber razorblades and terrible music! But we'll see, and that'd require someone to be his VA. ;)

You know, with those proportions it looks like some anime character (by Clamp, for example).

Well, I can say it's not Clamp related at all (I can't stand their art style or choice of stories.). And as much as I dislike the Persona Series, Shigenori Soejima really made some awesome looking characters in A.C.E 3: The Final. You'll see shortly, as I'm already up to building the first head model. ;)

Nooooo! The only thing I ever liked from Geass was Spinzaku, and the various "Stupid Sexy Suzaku" threads on a certain board.

Anyway, I did a little more, in Super Cel Shader 2.15, because there's no point getting Invisible Ink working yet until I put some hair on.

Now that the very basic female frame is done, though, I can finally start optimizing and eliminating all the hideous smoothing errors!? :dance

Lastly, if the next part turns out to be reasonably quick, I may take some suggestions for characters, providing there's enough good reference material (So C.C may be a possibility, if you ask nicely enough! <I accept all major Zaku models>. ) I'd much sooner have Domon as my Tactical though. "PHASERRRRSS! FIYAAAAAAA!" with a whole Hissatsu and everything.

The only problem is, as far as I know, the only way to give a Cel-shaded look would be pretty ugly.

I know someone better than Domon, someone that can crush a sun

It's a pity there's no way of adding cell-shading to BC's engine without modifying the .exe
