nice touch with the blue glows baked into the nacelles.

Good job on this, though I must admit that the more I see of the re-designed Enterprise, the less I like it.  (The design, not your ship.)

The main Trek XI ships are about finished, but their HPs need tweaking.  Also, ANYONE who posts reference pictures to any Star Trek XI ship or website SHOULD be posted in the Trek XI movie forum here on BCC.  That's where it should be posted, and not here.

Anyways, I got speculars to finally work on the Excelsior.

I'll have to re-map the ship to allow for ID swapping, but it could be done.

Oh sorry. I've heard how much of a pain mapping is.

If you do that for the base ships, will you also do it for the refits?

The Excelsior you see here is the base ship for the refits.  I haven't started on those, but there will be a new spacedock to contain them...... :).

Once I re-map the ship, I will then start building the refit version.  I'm new to ID swapping and it looks fairly easy.  The Kelvin ships, and the new Enterprise are mapped this way.  The new spacedock is 14k polys and will feature the ST3 interior.  I've been dying to make one of these since I first started modding.

First, sorry if I caused any trouble.

Second, I think a new spacedock is long overdue and Mr. Coyote (pronounced Ky-yo-tay like on Loony Tunes) is off to a good start.
Writer, Star Trek: Yorktown - A saga of the 23rd Century

Coming soon, I hope

No problem.  It nice to know that I have a few fans.  This starbase will be a great improvement compared to the older ones.  It will make lots of people very happy.  I just want to make sure for the other people on the forum that this thread is not a reference thread.  It's just comments and critiques of my models.

Wiley, not sure about this as my eyes could be playing tricks on me, but in you're third picture above, the engineering section looks slightly too wide. Again if I'm mistaken, please correct me. Other than that, this ship is looking fantastic! Great work :D

It might be a little wide.  The engineering section was tricky to model.  I used these schematics for the modeling.

Good news on the Trek XI ships.  Funny that they'll be flying around BC way before they fly around the big screen. :P

Excelsior looks fine to me, but then again I've never been a nitpicker when it comes to that ship. :)

And a new spacedock as well...about time someone did it.  Good job so far Wiley.

Is the new spacedock intended as a full replacement for the stock game spacedock? If so, docking scripts are a pain to make.

Just letting you know if you had docking in mind.

Glad to hear that the XI ships are coming along well.

That Excelsior looks so amazing, really gives you the sense of how large that ship is compared to the ships of it's time.

I can't wait to try all your stuff out...I check this thread everyday for updates.

have the XI ships gone to beta yet?

Here's a small sneek-peek at the interior of the spacedock showing off one of the runways.
