^^ That's not a bad idea, especially since CG is MIA and he's the only other person I know to have made animated textures himself.

Until I get the animated maps fixed, we still have the unanimated one.  It still looks cool. 8)

EDIT: Images removed because the ship has been released and to save up on space.

Indeed it does, looks pretty darn cool.  At the very least, you can save the animated maps for a v2 if necessary. :P

True.  I just realized that I completed this ship from beginning to ingame (beta) in less than a week.  Wow.  But that does not mean I work this fast all the time.

Well, it is the Enterprise.  You can't afford to be too slow on a ship with that name. ;)

And I'm gonna guess that the HP is going to be a more powerful version of the Kelvin?

Yep.  I'm thinking blue version of the Kelvin's phasers or a blue version of tmp phasers.  I like the torpedoes from Phaser's TCMP Tos Canon Pack.

If I may make a suggestion, I'd use something besides TMP phasers.  The "pulse" phasers don't really look all that great sometimes, and it seems the new movie uses standard beam phasers.

I'll do a blue version of the Kelvin's phasers or actual TOS phasers with a different sound effect.

My friend, you need to not release this individually, but as a pack with the kelvin and Kelvinprise, YOU ROCK!

He'll probably release them separately.  That's what he planned to do at least.

Wiley, may I ask how you are doing the animations, texture-wise?

16 textures. Tried both ifl files during export and manually changing the nif in NifSkope to add the NiFlipController needed. Nothing worked :(

No, I mean how are they set up in the scene?

I know how Phaser's animation is set up, I created a mock up, based on his animations. Here are the four textures I used. (Please forgive their crudeness.) Bus1_1, 2, and 3 use the alpha as a transparency, while bussard_glow uses the alpha as a light map. Also, a video of it working in Max.

Forgive me if you knew this already :(

That looks more like a deflector dish. I believe Wiley already has a good one. :D
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."
