Oh, and use the hex chart, it's more accurate than the RGB values
I do use the hex charts. It's nice to have a preset grouping of colors to use.

That sentence wasn't meant for you, but the rest ;)

Is it my imagination or is that phaser [expletive] huge? It's like a really smooth mountain range.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

From the references I have, the phaser emitters do look that big. The smoothing will make the phasers look like a mountain range, when it is more like a plateau, there it is slanted at both sides and flat at the top. I should start texturing them so that they will not look as weird.

Until we get some "true" dimensions, the JJ Enterprise will be the same size as the refit constitution.

Sounds perfect to me, as I have also stated in the Trek XI thread:

How are those textures coming?
I've started work on the engineering section. The deflector texture is from the SNS Galaxy, which I will create a new texture myself. I still have to add some escape pods to the engineering hull and some other small details. Enjoy! :)

It's all wrong Wiley, sorry man...

it's awesome, don't believe a damned word I say :P

Hey, Wiley... Can you possibly post a shot from a more angled-front view? Looking at this and at the images I have of Proberts stuff, something looks a little off... Though it could just be the angle.

Is it just me or does it look like it would fit in really well with the new (xi) universe? What with the curved nacelle pylons and all?

Slightly off (current) topic: Have you given up on the Narada completely or are you going to give it another go sometime? Also, what how bigs the poly count of the current one you have compaired to your other xi ships?
I have to turn damage off before running the kelvin or my game lags to hell lol!

Theres an unwritten rule which is: Don't ask for updates. Wiley will come back to it when he wants to and he has tons of projects on the go anyway and his main as the title suggests is the Proto-Ambassador.
