It doesn't need to be NX... just like the Excel was later NCC

Check Ex Astris Scientia for the better registry picture. The actual Centaur model used in DS9 was named USS Buckner NCC-42043, but in the episode the ship was called Centaur with the same registry. Adam Buckner was the guy who built the model and that's why his name was on it. Many other designer's names were on other ships.

We all know that it was USS Centaur NCC-42043 in the episode. We don't actually know what the true class of ship this is, but it is commonly called the "Centaur Class." So I decided to call the testbed of the class USS Buckner, which was later renamed to Centaur. If that doesn't work, what would be a good registry to use?

NX-42000 sounds like a nice round number for the USS Buckner. Sort-of also pays homage to the USS Excelsior (NX-2000). Being that the Centaur Class is an Excelsior-variant I mean

You do realize that the USS Dallas in this pack is just an extra registry of a normal Excelsior and not the variant we saw in the game.

Considering that the 'variant' we saw in the game was just some lazy excuse of a Excelsior by someone at Ritual Entertainment, I think the majority of BC users (including moi) are happy that you are using the name and registery on your gorgeous model.

I don't think you have enough Excelsior Class ships for a pack. I think you need to add a few more.

I'm taking a short break from the Excelsior to build the CPP Potkustart aka. CPP Kickstart from the fan-film Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning. I thought the Imperial version looked cool and it's currently 10.4k polys. There are still many details to add, but I whipped this up in a day or two. Enjoy.

I was never a huge fan of the design, I like the concept of a more gritty, Soviet Russia sort of ships. Perhaps something

by but not a replica of the CPP Kickstart may be better received.
But I say, do what you will Wiley, if you want to do it I'm sure there is someone that wants to have it. If not to fly than to blow up.

the Kickstart is a sovvy, allright, but there's also the Chernobyl a Galaxy version. both are out at the moment and use the SDT on existing models. don't forget the Fukov light balls!

btw, the two that ARE out are pretty tough, all things considered, and not just target fodder.

In the original version of the film, it was. It got changed, along with all the other ships, when the second version of the film was released.

Wait, what? If people don't like the design, gussying it up with pretty textures won't fix it. It may hide the hideousness, but it won't eliminate it.

Personally, I think it's so-so. The pylons are a bit weird, and I'm not a fan of that alternate universe nacelle, but the overall shape is okay.
