She does look amazing. Will this version overide the last one Wiley?

As promised, here is the new JJ Connie mk3. It is around 20.1k polys. Enjoy. :D

So that's what she looks like. . .

Sorry. One of the few vices I had with nouveau Star Trek was the lack of quality ship shots. The new E is more garish, but her level of detailing almost allows me to overlook some of her less graceful angles. Didn't fully realize that until I came across those progress shots, though. Very nice.

one small request...if you can be bothered with it...could you make a version where the nacelles are more appart...like say in star trek DAC/TOS Enterprise
They are not actually that close together. Part of me was thinking about making the golden/orange bussards.

Yes. It will have a newer hardpoint with pulse-like phasers- similar to Baz's.

She does indeed look "sexy" Wiley.

But if I can be honest, I feel that the edges of the warp pylons could use a little more chamfering (rounded off edges). Also, there is a visible spine that runs down the back of the ship all the way down to the shuttlebay in the movie.

Otherwise, she be purdy, yo.  :)

Liking the sound of that hardpoint. It kinda bothered me how the phasers on the previous version all angled into the same point at the same time. At least pulses might make this less noticable.

As for the model, I certainly don't think we'll see anything more accurate until some official schematic images are released ;)

There is very little I can do to the model at this time. I just wanted the engineering section to have a really smooth transition to the neck. I do realize there are some minor model errors, but minor enough to not be a problem.

For the schematic, I used a combination of the view from Drexfiles (ship comparison to BSG, etc) and the ones from Ex Astris Scientia.

I also made some updated schematics of my new JJ Connie. Enjoy! :D (large image)

Fair enough. How about the scale? Is she going to be just a little bigger than a TMP connie or around about the same size as a Galaxy class? That is a tricky issue, as i'm sure most other people who saw the movie are aware off.

Actually the textures I used for the windows are of the Enterprise-D. The windows alternate in color with blue and green for the uneven lighting. I prefer this ship to be about the size of the TMP Enterprise- it's better for everyone. I am now also making the in-warp textures.

Gotta love drex files :D. Not really a fan of EAS. Do you know of cygnus-x1.net? It'd be right up your alley ;) Tobias Richter also did a good job updating his model but I don't know where I found that

Loving those schematic shots :dance

I already have that on my favorites. That's where I get a majority of my schematics before building.

Cookie away.  I honestly can't think of anything wrong with this.  Any cons I think I could spot are very much outweighed by the sheer amount of awesomeness.  My only suggestions would be to put a bit of a border around the exhaust at the ends of the nacelles, bring the two rectangles on the bottom of the hull under the shuttlebay a little closer together, and I think make the torpedo bay <> like that a bit on the outer edges.  But as I said, those are small things when the sheer fact is, the hull has some of the best detailing compared to almost every model of this ship out there(excluding Tobias Richter's CGI level model that would make BC cry).  Those things are in no way detrimental to this fantastic model.  I would almost swear that you're stealing these models from Paramount.  The engineering hull looks sleek, the connection to the warp pylons is perfect, the warp engines are as sleek as they should be, and that shuttlebay is fantastic.  I've already commented on the perfection of the saucer, so I don't have anything else to say about that.  And I really like the in-warp textures as well, I just wish that Galaxy Maps would fix whatever it is causes the warp textures to stay on after exiting warp.

EDIT: Nice schematics!  Surprisingly, matches up with Tobias Richter's revised Enterprise schematics very well.

Superb Wiley.

I'm glad I only downloaded your previous versions of this ship but hadn't gotten around to installing them yet. I like efficiency and as awesome as v1 & v2 are, this is for all intents and purposes... the ONE.

Technically, that's how the phasers on this ship SHOULD be.  Unlike the original Enterprise the phasers aren't fixed aiming in one direction.  They're turrets and can very likely swivel to provide more coverage.  Which means anything that gets in front of the ship is gonna get raped.

Pretty much the best schematics we're gonna get of the JJ-Prise are Tobias Richter's orthos of his revised and far more accurate model.  I think that if they were gonna release the schematics for this ship, they would've done so by now.

Well yeah, I meant how the beams formed a triangle to one point on the enemy ship instead of being a barrage like in the film

There's a mod for similar. Multi Targetting or something. Also part of the KM pack.
