I'm happy that everyone is enjoying my ships. It looks like I almost set a new standard for TOS ships, minus the animated bussards.

I'm thinking of starting/finishing the ID4 ships for a possible late June/ early July release. I'll have to start on the Alien attacker and possibly the Mothership. I'll also rebuild the Troop Transport or at least a section of it.

Sweet!  Wondered what happened to those.

BTW, what is the news on scaling?  The city destroyer is 15 km diameter, right?  And the mothership is a quarter the size of the moon or something?  Will that be accurately reflected in the model?  Of course, planets are like, what 30 km diameter in BC?  :lostit:

Scaling will truly be screwed up on the larger models, then again, Baz did do V'ger being large. The Troop Transport will be around the size of a small space station. The City Destroyer will be large, maybe the size of a spacedock. The mothership (if I get to it) will be enormous, maybe Baz V'ger-sized, if it loads ingame.

Given the size of the mother ship, there should be no reason why it would not load, given that the computer it is being run on is powerful enough, and that there not any uneeded polies in it. It would just take a while longer to load because of it's size.

Are you, by any chance, planning for a July 4th release? How much power will there be in the City Destroyers "super-mega-kill-everything-but-also-super-vulnerable-gun-that-takes-ages-to-charge-lol" weapon? It probably wouldn't do much compared to say a Galaxy-class phaser or a Asgard beam weapon.

How about lighting? The ID4 ships were very dark, which would be hard to see in BC. Wish I had finished mine. :(
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

That would be the only thing that would have made these ships perfect.  And even that's a small thing.  And as much as I love the TOS Enterprise and the JJ Enterprise, etc....the Constellation is my favorite model of the bunch.  It is extraordinarily detailed and is quite gorgeous.  I'd say you outdid yourself with this batch.

I plan to use this color scheme and possible a blue/gray color scheme also (scroll 3/4 down the page):

It sounded fun. It will keep me on my toes.

It's too early to tell, maybe really powerful like the planet killer, but slightly weaker.

I could also add shuttle launching, but launches Alien Attacker ships.

Why use F-18's when you can use a Delta Flyer?  :D

Hey Wiley, I was just playing with your Connies, (Which are absolutely gorgeous by the way), and I thought up an interesting concept.  You released two of the connies as battle damaged variants, Decker's USS Constellation and the STIII Enterprise.  But what if you looked into the JJ-Universe future and made some battle damaged JJ-Connies?  For example, the Constellation again.  It's possible that JJ-Decker could still find his JJ_Constellation face to face with the Doomsday Machine and although his ship is stronger than the Prime Connie, (in theory anyways),  he would still most likely be defeated and rescued by the JJ_Enterprise.  So what would the battle damaged JJ-Constellation look like?

Just a thought of course, not a request.  It just sounded like an interesting concept that came to mind when I took a screen shot of your JJ-Enterprise in front of the Galactic Barrier.  It made me wonder how many more Prime Universe events could unfold in the JJ-Universe.  It gets me excited lol.

Good stuff Wiley. I'm really digging these ships. After all you can never have too many connies, right?

Ah yes, I see I wasn't the only one thinking about that haha.  Another great one would be the Excalibur, Lexington, Hood and Potempkin versus the M-5 powered Enterprise.  And let's not forget Shatner Kirk's first real adventure as Captain Kirk.  I took this screenshot the other day and submitted it to BC Files so it could someday appear as a Picture of the Day, but I feel like sharing it here first.

I reiterate, Gorgeous ship collection Wiley :)

Very nice picture.

It wouldn't be realistic to have F-18s or even a biplane to be in space. IT will be more like the shuttles from Armageddon or the shuttle from Deep Impact fighting in space.

We still do not know how many true on-screen decks the JJ-Connie has. If I were to do battle damaged JJ-Connies, they will be in the smaller scale.

Loved the shuttles in Armageddon. It's amazing what smal additions can do for an already classic design.

What about a DoomsDay damaged JJ Constellation? I'm not requesting, just saying I can't tell how many decks are on it, and would thus kickass

There was talk of a custom warp speed sound for the new JJprise, did that get axed or or is my install slightly screwy?

Custom Warp speed sounds only work with installs with Galaxy Charts v2. GC always has problems with the in-warp texture swapping not turning off, so I chose not to include that in the final release.

Did you create your own phaser sounds for the JJ-Enterprise or did you use pre-existing ones?  Because they don't quite sound "canon" to me, although the Torpedoes are spot on.  On the special features disk of the Star Trek Blu-ray there is a "walk around" for the ships and you can fire the phasers.  I recorded the sound of the phasers firing, but I can't seem to get them into the game.
