The Saucer reminds me a little of the Athena class DJ made, with the pylons of the E-G also by DJ.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Those ships did not come to mind when I was building this, but it does show a possible design progression. I've also done a deck count- 30 decks, so it is a bit bigger than a Sovereign class, though the number can easily be changed to reflect a smaller ship.

I think something a bit more unique can be done with the deflector though.  Now that I've stared at it for a bit, it looks tacked on to me, like it did on the Dauntless.  Seems a bit like someone forgot to make a cut and just slapped it onto the hull.
I'll see what I can do with it. I have a few ideas. :)

I'm glad that your doing a ship like this, she is very sweet, cookie. I'm even happier that your thinking on deflector bands. My suggestion is to have 2 or 3 bands running on a slight angle down in the front and running up the back. /    and in the very front have a small V shape on the bottom extending the band for a little coolness. And i think a great name for the class or the ship would be the Diligent.

I say keep it at the size it is. To piss DJ & possibly CG off, you could even call it the E-F :P

Why would calling it the Enterprise-F matter and why/what good would trying to agigate anyone serve? None of these ships are canon so it doesn't matter if names are taken (Not that it'd matter even if they were canon), just as long as the ships all point to unique files.

I've gotta say, as of late it seems a common trend for everyone to throw in names for ships, and while, yes, people do at times ask for some inspiration, it seems extermely common for people to jump to handing out names before the modder is even ready or at that stage of development... Anyway...

Wiley, I'm loving this design. Sharp, sleek and elegant without a doubt. I for one will be keeping a close eye on it (Who am I kidding? I've been following your thread as far back as I can remember.  :funny )

If you haven't already created a back story for her Wiley, I've been inspired to write one up.  I can post it here if you'd like to see it, although I left the name and registry blank since I don't know what she'll be called yet.
Send it to me as a PM. I'd like to read it.

Yeah, why would I do that? We have a good Ent-F and a G already, beyond that it is anyone's guess. I have a few different designs for the deflector. Textures would add extra detail. I love my new tablet. :)

I like option 1 :D kinda like my deflector on the Selfridge A
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

Similar, but I'm looking for something a bit more streamlined.

I like 1, and I like 3; something akin to either would do well in my opinion.
Did you know I'm on Twitter?

I personally like the 4th option, but that's just me...maybe you should do a poll and the most voters wins :)

I like the 3rd as well. The 5th reminds me too much of the Dauntless
