That's a really sexy ship there.  Only nitpick is that the registry number which is white extends off the black into some gray paneling.  It's a bit hard to see.

I see your point, but that's an easy fix.

I really like the textures so far, and I love the name!

Oh...my...god...

this deserves: :SWvST:
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Very nice. I really like your contrast on the textures. Makes up for a nice effect!

I guess?  :idk: Sorry, I've never played Homeworld.

I've tweaked the registry, new aztec paneling, built new maneuvering thrusters, and started texturing the underside of the ship. :D I also decided to remove the "deflector striping" on both sides of the deflector. It now looks much cleaner.

Looking good. Just out of curiosity, how large is this ship meant to be, and what will it's crew compliment be? On the ventral side, I've counted 159 "single-seat" escape pods on each side of the deflector, making it over 300 escape pods on the ventral alone, with an additional 68 escape pods on the dorsal side. Obviously not every single escape pod may be required at a moments notice, but the amount thus far suggests a crew complement of around 200 or so (Voyager had a crew of ~150).

Hm, it looks very good, but there are two small issues in my opinion; for one, I'd move the second set of thrusters to just behind the 'corner' on the saucer, just under the dorsal-aft phaser array. The second is the light blue hull colouring blends in with the 'lit' windows.

Are the round windows for recreation or diplomatic decks or are they escape pod hatches?

Wiley said earlier that the "grey" oval shaped objects are escape pods. Single-seat pods even.

Darkthunder makes a good point. Hopefully this does not go into an argument.

I've counted the number of escape pods on existing TNG ships, ~200 escape pods on Ent-E, ~42 pods on Voyager (crew of 141), and around 450 escape pods on the Ent-D for a crew of 1014?. If there is only enough escape pods visible on the hull for only half of the crew, we can assume that there is more inside and shuttlecrafts are being used in emergencies. Or that ships of the future are stuck with the steamship Titanic's mentality- ship looks more grand with less boats (more boats clutters deck space). :)

I should add more detail to show they are escape pods and not windows.

I think I just said that. We have seen ships with no visible escape pods have sections of hull open up to reveal the pods.

They are where the yellow glows are emanating from. They are almost flush with the hull.

Hmm. I think a more defined look would probably be better. Possibly a "grill-like" appearance which is laying flush with the hull instead? Was thinking "Sovvy-style" impulse at first, but instead of impulse "structures", make the engines indented in the hull with a grill over the technology. Not sure how else to explain it better, without having a better view of the area :P

Just curious Wiley, are you going to have a bridge deck?

Who says it doesn't have one already? Maybe starfleet learned that the bridge is too exposed out in the open. It's "inside" the upper module of the saucer.

I dunno why, but this ship gives off a strong "love boat"-vibe..  :poke: I could so see this being the Star Trek cruise vessel for newly weds and such..
