Wow...if you can keep this under 10k...I will certainly be extremely thankful!  I'll definitely use your Galaxy as well as DJ's...

I've added the undersaucer windows/yacht and it brings the mesh up to 5.3k polys. I plan for the mesh to be under 10k polys.

Are you planning on doing a saucer bump?
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
 We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
 One equal temper of heroic hearts,
 Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
 To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Mate, when you're content with this model, do you think you could throw up a render with the wireframe overlayed on it? I'm absolutely stumped as to how you've gotten that quality with so few polys!

No problem. Just keep everything as an editable poly, use the Cut tool often and check for unwelded verticies. I'm about done with the mesh, and I still have a few areas left to clean up. The final total of the mesh is 7.4k polys around 16k polys. :dance And I'm now thinking about adding the separation feature.

Amazing. At only 7.4k polygons, this would EASILY be usable in STO. Why the developers couldn't have made their Galaxy class look like THIS one, really bugs the hell out of me.

Send in your resume, and ask for a job as a ship designer/modeller for STO. Your talents would easily outdo most of their work, except for maybe CapnLogan.

Now that's cool!  I really like the deflector area too.  Very impressive for 7.4K polys.  Good job.

I'd actually like to see your dibs on a JJ Connie refit. I know that might not be for a while, though.

Looks good wiley, can't wait to to see it painted.

Patience, there has been a flood of connies from both Wiley and myself. Though I can not speak for wiley I'm backing off the connie for awhile though i have 2 in my current WIP. They are being working on behind the scenes on and off but are not my main focus at the moment. Rest assured my JJrefit V2 and my TMP V2 are not forgotten.
