Dude thats friggin awesome, very very efficiant use of polys. Can't wait to see the textures.  :D

I'm just wondering how much more detail you could add before you reach 10k polys.

Looking good on the saucer sep. If you do half as good a job as you did on the Excelsior pack, I think we'll be well satisfied.

Nice

Knocking out a Galaxy class in a matter of days? Welcome to the hall of fame :)

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

That is nothing short of amazing!

I guess now would be the time for a varient suggestion?

How about a Galaxy to Galaxy X evolution pack ? If you do go for the Galaxy X that is and if you do it really wouldnt be that much more work since you would already be working your way towards the final Galaxy X model. I've always wanted to see something like that. We already have the Venture as the first step. IF..IF you do go this route maybe put up a poll as to what the next addition should come after the nacelle phasers.

poll options:
pylon fins with extra pair of phasers
?pulse phaser? cannons that flank the bridge
cloaking device housing
BFHBP(Big Freaking Hull-Busting Phaser) cannon
hull addition with extra nacelle, phaser and impulse engines(maybe have extra impulse engines as seperate?)

What do you think Wiley?
All hail the messiah!

I don't want to go off track and get shouted at by Jimmy (lol) but if there were an evolution of the Galaxy class then it would follow a more logical pattern depending on the circumstances.

Starting with perhaps the newer impulse engines on the neck section, then maybe the extra pylon phasers and then the third warp nacelle. The cloak anywhere inbetween. The other additions to the model for AGT seem just fanboy-ish. Do the nacelle fins serve an actual purpose?

I'm not wiley, but in order I'd go:
first pylon fins, pules phasers & cloak

then Massive Underbelly Phaser, nacelle
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

How about some tweaking to the model and release a pack that contains a 4 foot version & a 6 foot version! :D

The thing about Trek fans is that they want every ship to be built and as accurately as possible. I think I am fine with my current version, It's close enough for a 4-foot version. I'll play around with the deflector/pylons for the 6ft version. :)

I do have room to add Picard looking out from his ready room.

When I do the Galaxy-X, there will be no other variants of the Galaxy-X type. It wouldn't look right. :dontcare:

I guess starfleet didn't care about ship looks when they were at war with the Klingons.....umm ST:O? I've made some changes to only the stardrive. It now features a 6 and 4 foot version.

Didn't one of the models also feature a slightly different impulse engine housing? I'm not sure if its my imagination or not but I think there might be.

Even if the impulse housing was different, it is so subtle I haven't noticed. And please NO REFERENCE PICTURES. Also, it is my mesh and I can do what I want with it. :)

Looking at the images of the 4ft stardrive vs the 6ft stardrive...the 6footer's stardrive is actually physically wider..i was comparing the DJGal vs the SNS. the DJ Gal is based off of the 4fter and the SNS is based off the 6fter..so it seems the drive section is wider overal..not just a skinnier deflector
