Slight update- I'm nearing completion with the Probert Ambassador and it will be near the 16-18k poly mark. Pictures coming soon.

I am finished with the mesh and the final total is 17.5k polys.

I LIIIKE IT!!!!! Are you gonna texture it as an early TNG like the concept pics? or give it more of an FC flavor like the Sov..so that it reflects that its being built for the late 24th century

Thank you. I made these renders in the same program I built the ships- Autodesk 3ds Max 2010.

Not yet. Keep in mind, that I just got done with 2 ships- the FC and the Nemesis variant of the Enterprise-E. Mvam is being very tricky with the captain's yacht, and I may need help.

That's interesting. I use Max for everything as well, but I always have obnoxious lighting issues on my renders. I guess I'll have to play around with the lighting options to find a better render setting. Thanks for the info!

Aaron, go to MadKoiFish's Tutorials and check out the lighting section. It's the most useful place I have ever gotten information on making starships look good.

Wiley, I thought the converters for NIFs were only current with Max 2009?

Just one small question. The neck detail...will you add slats in at the front like you were originally going to do with your first attempt at doing the proto Ambassador. Like the Excelsior neck, instead of just a plain texture.

I don't think I will be adding that. That would be a lot of extra unneeded detail.

i love it! great job wiley. Perhaps a bit more blue? Like the ambassador (i'm colorblind so if it wasn't blue my apologies)
