I'm loving the deflector. makes it look allot more unique compared to some of the other Galaxy models out there for Bridge Commander.

Man all those boxes must be tedious to draw. I like the shape of the drive section as it approaches the deflector.

Tedious but worthwhile. I try to make the ship as faithful to the original references as possible. I myself can't wait to get it ingame.

Ya know, Idk if Im the only one here that sees this matter to be true, but doesnt the galaxy class look more stunning with the Excelsior Blue style than that plain whitish-grey?

The blue is the paint scheme used in Generations. They dusted off the 6ft model that was used in seasons 1 and 2, and repainted it.

Yea She got the movie treatment from ILM. I prefer the Generations blues to the earlier greys and greens.

Workin' on the nacelles, then I should be done with mapping and texturing. I plan to have my Ent-D working ingame today.

Final texture sizes are 3 2048 px textures with their respective specular maps.

I've noticed only one aberration in the reproduction (the lower lip of the deflector being flat from the ortho angle) aside from that this is a fairly ...well, really faithful replica of the Design. I've drawn this ship so many times...it's good to see the shape so well done. I'm pretty picky but normally I take exception to the bulge of the engineering hull or the shape of the nacelles that always bugged me about other galaxy's. The real test will be in game but it looks almost OCD legit.

The textures and specular highlights are finally done. Here are some renders before I export the mesh to BC.
