.....when you said this back on Baz1701's thread, were you joking or serious? Because, after all, we really do need a Scimitar.
What do you think?

Splendid news, i have always loved your splendid ships, although i dare ask, will the excelsiors be correctly scaled this time as in the Excelsior supposed to be 467 metres long vs a galor being 378.88 metres? No excelsior pack has scaled it correctly.

This is just a nerdy question but rewatched DS9/Dogs of War recently and could swear there was an Excelsior in there that had those circular arrays like Galaxy (sorry, not too au fait with the techtalk) but all the Excelsior models I've got or seen only have those yellow bank thingies.  Just asking re: WC's new models  :D

Checked trekcores screencaps and didn't saw any fleet stuff except the jemhadar fighter that gets blown up of damar.. Don't really know what you are talking about. The excelsior ds9 had blue vented warp nacelles instead of the greyed tng ones. But they all had phaser banks instead of arrays.

Banks -> dots on the hull / tmp style (miranda, connie etc). Array-> big circular stuff like intrepid, akira, galaxy etc..

Well Wiley, I gotta say, you're getting to be one of the most prolific modders around here.  Except when you break for school, you always seem to have something in the works.

FYI Probert(?) recently said that the original studio model of the Galor was the same length as the Ambassador which is 3/4th the length of a Galaxy. That was the intended size comparison.
All hail the messiah!

The CGI Excelsior model was built for Vog episode Flashback. Based on my research they never altered the textures in that way.

Actually, A new physical model was built for Flashback (as the original STIII model had been irreparably damaged when they modified it for Generations)  This model was built in a slightly smaller scale and featured more defined hull details than the original.  The CGI model was built a year later for the DS9 episode Favor the Bold.

but, you're right, it still never featured phaser strips.

Amazing, she looks really smooth  I was hoping you'll make NX version too (always prefered it simply for single impulse crystal assembly and that cool observation deck above shuttlebay :) ) have a cookie !

Easy there, the dudes Polish.  You literally need to change only one word there to change the meaning of the sentence.  Replace "you'll" with "you would" and bam, magic. :P

As for Wiley... cookie!

It's slow going, but it will be done. It takes a little more time to make textures from scratch without references.
