Assuming my beta testers have not reported anything serious, I'll be releasing the Polaris tomorrow on my website, and on Filefront.

The Science Variant Nebula Class is finished (though I may add some minor details to the pod).

:dance :yay:
this will be awesome to have in the SP mod!  :D
Don't we have a Wiley Science one already?
nope! the CGI Nebula Class has never been done - in all of BC's history...
but now finally it has :)

no - that model is not the CGI Nebula...
the CGI Nebula is different, basically a kitbash of the Galaxy Class, consisting of all Galaxy Class parts...  the most notable difference is the number and rows of windows on the saucer section...  if you compare the two models, youll see other differences between the standard Nebula model and the CGI one...

I built this particular version because Jimmy requested it, plus it makes more sense to use an existing Galaxy Class saucer (I know the differences between the versions).

I'm not going to rebuilt it (at least until my modeling skills drastically improve).

I also plan on an additional Nebula Class variant with a different sensor pod (designed by Doug Drexler, never before built for BC).
That can be found here: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Nebula_class_model

But that's what I saw from CRs Bonchune, the Galaxy Saucer, more windows. What more is there?

WC, Doug's sensor/weapons pod is sure different and antiquated. Will you update that Miranda torpedo pod to something more TNG or will it remain original. Either way thanks for all the work.

The miniature nebula was made using some of the molds for the 4' Galaxy but didn't get the same level of finishing due to time constraints. By the time Generations came around and the mini got the ILM treatment it was showing it's age. It was last used for the shots of the Nebula seen in FC. Not long after that Mr Bonchune was given the job of doing a CGI model for Message in a Bottle and because of time constraints he chose to kitbash the CGI Galaxy that ILM made for 1 shot based on the 6' model in Generations to save time on the build and texturing. The Generations model had been textured with high res shots of the surface of the 4' foot miniature so the CGI version of both the Galaxy and Nebula end up having TNG TV paint jobs instead of the Generations movie paint job. This is why the CGI Nebula has a different saucer then the shooting model

heh alright... I'll excuse this as a Dominion War rush job.

Oh look we have a half finished Nebula class.... Oh look a Galaxy Class Saucer section just returned heavily damaged and missing its Engineering half... LETS COMBINE and send her back out to war. xD

Nice work.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.
