I already created the saucer texture and the saucer/bridge weeks ago, back when we all saw the Kelvin under fire.  This ship is going to be somewhat detailed.

Will the Kelvin have phaser turrets that pop out at red alert?

That will probably have to be an MVAM function, or I could build two seperate ships.

I think FTech/submodel would be more useful and accurate for this. MVAM would just slow the action down.

I'm especially looking forward to seeing the Kelvin's nacelle bussards. They are such an odd design in Trek, yet they just look right for some reason.

I have built the upper pylon, and most of the engineering hull with deflector.  Enjoy! :D

It could just be the perspective of the released image, but the deflector looked smaller to me, or maybe the engineering hull looked bigger, I don't know.
Either way, still looking great, so I can't complain. :D

I think the Defector dish is just about the same size as the Engineering hull.

Yeah, the engineering hull needs to be visable around the deflector in a head on view(just like every other Fed ship).
All hail the messiah!

Yup. And the warp engine needs to hugely bigger than the engineering section. Just thought I'd say.

I'm going to avoid criticizing the Kelvin until she's practically complete.

Seriously though, a kitbash of the new Enterprise to be a Miranda class would be SO AWESOME!

Not too much to say on the Kelvin just yet.

But the Enterprise is gorgeous, she needs textures and an HP.  I wanna fly her!  Any chance of beta-testing her? ;)
