Here's a small update on the Kelvin.  A new mesh with some textures added.  I really like how the deflector looks.  Enjoy. :)

Sweet! But the warpie and secondary hull look to small compared to the saucer.

Here's a side view.  It's probably the perspective that throws the proportions off.

I think that the warpie and the secondary hulll "may" need to be a bit thicker. But I'm not sure on that.

Edit: I think the secondary hull may need to be bigger on the whole.

Here's an updated comparison.  I'm basing my model off of Richter's amazing Kelvin model.  His is the best reference available.

looks pretty good to me.  How's the mesh itself shaping up?

It's currently at 12.4k polys, but it's 5.7k polys when selecting "editable poly."  The mesh has considerably less details compared to my Excelsior.  Before anyone says this- I will model in the TMP phaser emitters.

Sounds good Wiley!  The nice thing about less polys is that is easier to find any bugs in the mesh, if there are any at all. :D

Awesome work Wiley! You think you could do a "Kelvin-prise" like Tobias did too?

Sorry, I should have phrased it differently, it wasn't a request, I just wanted to see if he intended on making one.

Oh, and Wiley, I've got $20 burning a whole in my pocket and would be more than willing to put it towards incentive of the Star Trek XI ships quick release.
^Just an offer, please don't jump on my back, mods, for requesting a quick release, etc.

consider this an official warning...  i have sent you a PM - please read it before posting on this site again... - jb76

That is seriously pushing it Johnny. From the way you've phrased it, your paying Wiley to get the XI ships done and over with. Patience. I know you want them, so do I! But you cannot rush people like Wiley.

And its not the request people will get angry at. Its the fact your offering money. Bridge Commander mods are free. Star Trek: Excalibur is free. Do not go anywhere else with that $20.

I will say this- my Trek XI ships (hopefully) will be completed on or before the movie comes out.  I'm not promising.  Wow, a money offer, umm....shouldn't there be a warning given to people who offer money?

A team of Redshirts has been dispatched accordingly. ;)

Kelvin looks beautifully modelled mate, and the textures give a great depth! I did start one a while ago but the thin saucer just freaked me out...

Wiley, the way you get these things out the door, I think it'll probably be before. :P  Really though, take your time, the Kelvin's looking fantastic as is.  Question though, are those actual textures or temp textures?

These are probably temporary textures, because they look a little plain.  I'll try to make it look like metal, and give it a bit of a weathered look.

This may seem a bit like a rant but...:

First, this is the internet, not a market stall.

Second, even in my short tenure as a little modder on BCC, no-one has given out money to make a mod come quicker. Things need time and patience.

Third, (respectfully to Wiley; and to both of you) Based on the first point, you are strangers to each other. I wouldn't trust anyone giving me money for something that someone can wait for.
